xD a bit late for that

Not at all mate. Still two weeks to make matters worse including on the day of the inauguration of Biden.

25th amendment to remove from power immediately. Impeachment to formally censure and legally bar him from observing any government position ever again.

I mean you and I both know he probably should have been impeached very early on, as he immediately violated the emoluments clause upon taking office.

Everything thats happened since then in US politics has taken us to this point. So yeah, they SHOULD get him out before he incites more insurrection. But it’s happened now and he’s done so much to radicalise his base.

It’s happened now, it’s too little too late. I think autocrats around the world will have seen these images and use it to inspire them for YEARS.

You can see online, these US domestic terrorists do seem to have quite a bit of support in what they did today. It’s a situation the US government has done nothing but throw flames upon for the last 4 years.

I don’t think there’s an easy fix for the US now that fascism is being accepted as a legitimate political view by so many.

It also begs the question, why did the capitol building get so much protection during the BLM protests, when really there was no indication there was any threat? Whereas we knew there was going to be a rally there by people who said they would be breaking the law and bringing guns to a rally in a city where openly carrying guns is illegal (as it fucking should be everywhere, lol what the fuck).

Twitter wont ban him indefinitely they cant afford the loss of traction that he brings to their platform. People discussing him is a drop in the ocean compared to him tweeting the garbage he has over his tenure that has incited all kinds of horrors on the public of that country.

So it was Mike Pence to finally grow a ball and step up and order the national guard to come in and not old dickface after all. shocking development xD Mike Pence's political career was likely over regardless of how this played out anyways but at least he made one right move.

Sorry if I'm barging in unwanted with this tweet, but I'm posting it because I absolutely despise that South Americans will go out to say there is no democracy in their country yet they want to flee to the USA as if they were any better.

I'm sure @McAzeem can preach on this one.

Don't feel like it's the time for preaching. It's understandable for why people are venting at US right now, this was long coming but i hope this gets sorted.

@Dr. Gonzo @Eco I know you live in America and i know @Steve Bruce Almighty you have lived in Canada and probably have some knowledge of america.

It's quite hard as a British central leftist to really understand America's right. Its quite easy to just stereotype then as racist nutters who are obsessed with guns. But it is important to understand them. Otherwise we are just as bad as the right wingers who thing all leftists want to take away all their freedom and install communism.

Its seems to me as if we have very different moral priorities. It seems to me some of them are so obsessed with individual freedom and so worried about communism and socialism that they put it above all other matters. It seems to me that they dont want and market restrictions for example because they see it as violating their freedom and in some cases may lead to communism. This means that even if it causes mass poverty or damages the environment that is acceptable for the price of freedom.

Whereas a leftist would accept these measures if it helped other people.  Like I said it also seems that a lot of it is fear. Some of them are so obsessed with communism they are worried it will cause it.

Clearly this isn't a detailed description but is this kind of a basic version of it for some people.
