The wife and I have spent the last couple of weeks converting our spare bedroom into a nursery, making everything a mix of pink, white and animal print. Can't wait to be posting at 03:00 about how my daughter won't settle and how I want to throw myself out of the top floor window but that's the fun of parenting, right? I'll be in this thread heavily, so going to make myself comfy. Like father, like daughter!

Yeah I have a 2 and 5 year old and my hatred of the lockdown was more for my kids than myself. The final kindergarten (preschool) year was 50% remote learning which is not entirely possible when the learning is socialisation and group play. And the 2 year old has known lockdown half her life, and I think gets a lot more scared of strangers than I reckon would be the case in a precovid world. Lucas
Congrats @Toinho and best of luck. Still find it difficult at times to imagine certain posters with babies, you don't see people grow and change on an internet forum like in the real world. Can you actually imagine, somewhere in this big wide world, Scout is probably a mother now

Popular Post Devil
Two girls, 17 years of age and 7 years of age.. You'd think the 17 year old would be making me lose sleep at night, you'd be wrong in thinking that. She's the most laid back character I've ever met and is due to start Uni in August. She's had a boyfriend but he seemed a nice lad and she seems more interested in her education at the moment. The 7 year old on the other hand was born about ten years older mentally and loves nothing more than to boss me and my missus about. Only last week I'd gone up to turn her TV off in her room and tell her to read and get to sleep, anyway 10pm I hear a noise upstairs, walks in her room she's got her tv on, netflix watching tv with the volume turned down. Her reply to me was, no kids my age are asleep yet!!! She's 7, needless to say the TV was quickly removed and has only been returned the evening before last. 4

That's our daughter's reaction with wee Kaiden (now 7), misbehave and then she will act, no tv etc but he loves staying for a sleepover around here as we, as grandparents, are a bit more lenient but really he is good as gold and will do as he is told, one thing he does love is the wife has to read him a bedtime story before he goes to sleep. It's funny really as the daughter said when he misbehaves and gets told off he will always say "I am going around granny & granddads to stay..." then will walk away into his bedroom in a huff.

My daughters the same, my mum and dad and all the teachers thinks she's an angle but once she crosses my doorstep demon mode gets switched on and she loves nothing more than to make my life hard.
