...Dan
I'm watching a stream of the Monaco game and for some reason all the sounds are deeper. The commentators sound like they're masking their voices like in films, and the weirdest part is that the whistles from the crowd sound like screams. It literally sounds like there's been a terrorist attack at the stadium and everyone is screaming in fear. It's quite scary.
Bluewolf
Man Flu Update.. I was going to put the day number but in all honesty it's near impossible for me to tell how long I have been here now... I am drifting in and out of consciousness at an alarming rate as these bugs savage every organ and muscle in my body... There have been times I felt that it may only be a matter of hours, even minutes perhaps before my passing and only my stubborn unwillingness to give in is what is holding me here... I have been coughing, sneezing and ache all over.. nearly used a whole bog roll already and can only best describe whats coming out of my nose as wallpaper paste... Family and friends have gathered and come to my room over and over again it seems just as they think I am on the precipice of death only for me to raise an arm and reach out for one more Mocha Choca Latte... they leave either disappointed or relieved its hard to tell, my vision is blurred most times and sometimes all I see are shapes and hear voices... they seem so far away.. almost as if I am listening in from another realm.. The cat has been coming to see me as well, maybe it's a sign... Is she an Angel or a Guide.. maybe some kind of afterlife thing who knows! All I know is that the situation is grimm... my financial adviser suggested getting out as much as possible and spending it while I still had time and I had 2 shadowy figures round with black suits and top hats.. They got a tape out and I thought they were here to measure the carpet and curtains but when one held the tape on my forehead while the other one pulled it down to my toes I felt they were trying to tell me something... and although things have taken a turn for the worse I am hopeful I can still beat this thing... I don't have time for a defeatist attitude...

She's a very good cook and i'm very lucky in the sense that she does 99% of the cooking, and they're all very good and healthy meals. But i also love those Saturday nights in chilled with the feet up, beer in one hand with the takeaway ordered. Life's too short to not enjoy the odd unhealthy meal. I also probably have a KFC/McDonalds on average twice a month, i mainly go for their coffee's . I also have the rare occasional cigarette, i don't know why it's fucking stupid but i just enjoy one every now and again, and out of both i definitely feel more stupid and cunt like for having the odd cigarette. Although you know as well as I do that you could cut that take-away crap completely and it would benefit you even more. My wife also cooks as I do (I’m an amazing cook actually) and we cook almost everyday except on most weekends when we go out to eat mostly on Saturdays because I can’t do without my Sunday Roast and I want to do it at home with the best ingredients I can get which makes a massive difference... Oh, and my wicked Yorkshire Puddings. I know plenty of people that do take-away food at least two to three times a week and then when they do buy food, they buy pre-cooked something or other that either goes in the oven or the microwave. For example, if on the rare occasion I eat chips at home, I buy potatoes, peel them, cut them into chips and then fry them in blended olive oil (obviously not mad enough to use extra virgin for that)... I could go on and on about this but I’ll give a little anecdote about what I KNOW goes on in many households here in London at least. When I had my part-time hobby of creating fish & chip shops there was a moment where after work I’d pop into one of the ones we opened which was the Islington branch as it was on my way home. It was just to have a beer in there and have a chat to the employees sort of thing. I noticed the eating habits of some of the locals. The area we opened that shop in has a mixed demographic because right across the road there is a Council Estate (a notorious one with some very unsavoury people and others that are really nice but caught in a vicious circle unfortunately)... Then you have the rest of the surrounding area which is Angel Islington and Canonbury before you filter into Highbury... In other words the N1 and N5 areas of Islington. During that time I’d arrive there, I would see the same families almost everyday going in to get take-aways for them and their families which in this case consisted of children too (young children). They didn’t even bother to order fish, they bought that poisonous stuff called savaloys! I tried not to sell them, but my business partner insisted and I get it from a business perspective as the profits are massive. If it wasn’t savaloy it was jumbo sausage which is made out of absolute garbage. How can you feed that to your children man! That’s criminal! Anyway... Here goes... So one evening this guy who at most was in his early 30s comes in with what looked to be a 7 or 8 year old child. He orders with our guy behind the till a sausage and chips and once he’s taken his order the man asks how much the fish would cost because (in his words), he would prefer his son eats fish. Our guy tells him the price which is obviously considerably more expensive than sausage and chips and the man says to forget that, too expensive and he’ll get the sausage and chips like he originally ordered. Now, under nornal circumstances I would’ve told the guy that’s behind the till to just give it to him at the sausage and chips price seeing as it’s for a kid, but I didn’t (immediately) for one specific reason... What was it? The man was dressed head to toe in expensive branded clothing and what made it worse is that he was wearing a £700 leather jacket... I was raging! Had that guy not been with his son and said those same words I would’ve burst and told him exactly what I think. But I didn’t want to undermine that father in front of his son as that would be a major sin. I went to the bathroom and calmed down before I came out and ordered our guy behind the till to give the man a cod and chips. I also invited them to sit in the restaurant to eat it because I personally wanted to make sure the child was the one that put it in his stomach and that it wasn’t a trick. I then left and it was the last time I did my visits on my way home because that hurt me to see something of the sort. Anyway... What one does with his or her body is a personal choice. We can all have our views and opinions... I have mine as expressed on here. But what I WON’T give slack on is where someone chooses to be a parent and then feeds shit to his or her child. I didn’t choose wealth because well, I’m still young... Incredibly surprised where I “sit” in income even though it would’ve be regarded as that high in Australia. I think she was escorted to another seat and not off the plane if I'm correct. As for more people showing their disgust... I think slowly slowly more we're starting to make their feelings visible but we must remember that there are all sorts of psychosis involved here from the selfish situation of hating being on an aeroplane and wanting it all to get moving to being afraid of showing and venting their feelings for whatever reason. Then you will possibly have those that feel the same as the racist. Apprently he lives in Essex and has been reported to the police in his local area. Yeah, as I said in my original post, Ryanair reported it to the Essex police. It’s obvious why they done it because to leave a national in another country under the custody of foreign authorities gives the company a major headache. Obviously it’s been done before especially for drunk ahd disorderly situations, but those cases are dealt with very quickly by the national authorities and the person tends to be out and on his or her way back to wherever they’re from without much delay. Racism in Europe (although it exists in all regions) when it’s reported ends up being made big news as this one has which has made all the international news desks especially in Europe. Ryanair isn’t to blame for the fact a racist was on one of their aeroplanes but they are to blame for not handling it correctly while on terra firma because the passengers were still boarding. A man who was filmed racially abusing a woman on a Ryanair flight has been identified, police said. Essex Police said it had identified both parties involved in the incident and passed the details to the Spanish authorities who were leading the investigation. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-essex-45951232 Edit: "Ryanair will take the matter further", I wonder what they mean by that ban the guy from any further flights with Ryanair?
