Terry & Hutton in the same defence. Might try and see where I can get Villa to have most booking points this season

This signing depends whole heartedly on John Terrys motivation. You cannot compare this to the Rio and Caulker link at QPR because of what they both went through.

To be a Chelsea legend and then play for another club must be a really hard thing given the send off he got. Steve Bruce probably sees a lot of himself in John Terry and recognises as a fat old bastard he can't get his message across to the villa players easily. So having John Terry will help.

Terry ruled himself out of playing in the Premier League because he didn't want to play against Chelsea so I know exactly who I'm putting money on Villa drawing in the cup next year.

I actually think it's a decent signing. He will offer much more than just trying to stop strikers on the pitch. His leadership and passion are rare things in football these days and his qualities will be infectious in the dressing room.

Villa to win the league.....

That's a good signing for them, would be interesting to know what wages he's on. I think he'll have had higher offers from elsewhere so fair play to him for not just going where the money is.

Just seen he's 66/1 on Skybet to score 10 or more goals. Can see him bagging a few in a Steve Bruce team... :coffee:

What's the odds on him being injured in the first two months?

What

He means another signing is coming. Presumably Sam Johnstone.

Terry will be very important for us, something we lacked and he's going to be a huge boost to this squad on and off the pitch.

Well they suspended betting on him going to Birmingham once it reached 1/10 on after Redknapps usual prostitution to the media, Blues fans pronouncing it done and taking the piss.

Amazing hes gone from an amazing coup to an old wreck since it turned out he came to us....for less money. (Not that he isn't earning a fortune all the same)

Same with Defoe being favourite. Crouch has also been backed...

its hilarious. Has Lionel Kranjkar been backed with the bookies? xD

Huddlestone and Assou-Ekotto linked. Ravel already training.

With Brum or with you @TomAVFC?

Your owner doesn't quite do Twitter hints like ours, generally when we sign someone he leaves an 80s themed song lyric up and because it's before my time I have no idea who were signing

Thought this was worth a bump to reflect on the impact John Terry has had at Aston Villa. Credit where it's due, it seems like he's had a better impact than almost everybody expected.
