Cicero Posted July 12, 2022 Posted July 12, 2022 Kalidou Koulibaly, revealed as name in Chelsea list in June and still one of the options. New meeting with his agent took place on Monday  #CFC Nathan Aké deal also in negotiation, while club feels Bayern are leading the race for Matthijs de Ligt as they agreed personal terms. https://t.co/RwprKLJF8l — Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) July 12, 2022
Cicero Posted July 12, 2022 Author Posted July 12, 2022 Can't get a much better Rudiger replacement than him. Hope we get this over the line.Â
Dr. Gonzo Posted July 12, 2022 Posted July 12, 2022 Big signing for Chelsea if true. Hilarious though that they've unleashed Lukaku back into Serie A now that the league is unlikely to have Koulibaly and De Ligt. The man's ego is going to be more inflated than ever.
Cicero Posted July 12, 2022 Author Posted July 12, 2022 Been the best CB in Italy for half a decade. Big presence that will provide an immediate impact and age-wise doesn’t affect the trajectory of Colwill. Only risk is the contract length as this blows our previous 30+ year old policy out the water. Also suffered a few injuries recently but this will only give more chances to the likes of Colwill.Â

Cicero Posted July 13, 2022 Author Posted July 13, 2022 Kalidou Koulibaly to Chelsea, here we go! Full agreement in place for €40m fee add-ons completed, bid accepted. Napoli are checking the documents then it will be official.  #CFC Koulibaly will sign long-term deal for €10m net salary per season. First centre back, signed. pic.twitter.com/Flr0XSN7wu — Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) July 13, 2022
Lucas Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 It feels like Chelsea and Man City have been linked to him for about the last four or five seasons.

We did have a policy of not having players stay after a certain age but I think when it comes to defensive players the more experience the better and Thiago Silva has kind of proved that point.. I just felt that he tired a bit as the season went on losing some of his sharpness but it's forgivable considering how old he is.. Players like that need to be used carefully across the season
Cicero Posted July 13, 2022 Author Posted July 13, 2022 Not sure I believe the 5 year contract length yet. This was the alleged contract length that was Koulibaly's renewal at Napoli. Â
Bluewolf Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 Apparently we have now reached a full agreement to sign him.. Terms and contract length yet to be released although I was reading he will be on about £150,000 = £160,000 a week

DNA Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 1 hour ago, ScoRoss said: End of an era Such a shame that 91 point season wasn’t enough to win the title, football can be cruel old game, not one for the romantics most of the time, another one for the pile at Juve.. in contrast to an historic feat it would have been for Napoli. Massive signing for Chelsea, De Laurentiis held him down for so long (and fair play) but the time was always going to come and it’s Chelsea who benefit.
Administrator Stan Posted July 16, 2022 Administrator Posted July 16, 2022 Done deal. Massively strengthens their defence. Â
