Overall weve defended alright, but we arent committing when we go forward and a few times now have lacked runners for flicks in the final third.

You also cant give Tchouaméni that sort of space on the box, geezer is unreal from long range be that shooting or passing, highly accurate

England look overwhelmed and out of ideas. I don’t really ‘get’ Southgate as a manager, his strength seems to be keeping team spirit high and avoiding typical drama and divaness

which is why were not getting smashed up by teams like Iceland

Foden not really in the game, Bellingham is being carefully marked so if Foden comes closer to Shaw we can get some movement on the left. Late on Foden comes over to the right and makes a difference he also needs to help out on the left.

Kane had a good shout for a penalty and Saka was also fouled in the build up to their goal.

That being said we need to play smarter as even if we stop Mbappe it seems to be at the expense of giving Griezman too much space.

Bellingham for their goal looks away never understand that, watch the ball and block, good strike by Touchameni.

Kane is having a better game today getting the beating of his defenders though not having much time or pace to make the most of it.

Southgate has got the England side back to 86-90, 96-98, 2002-2006 sort of levels. And adding 2018-2022 is a notable gap to see.

It would take something incredible to comeback. Best chance for the 2nd star barring half a dozen legit Balon d'or winners in the next generation.

But anyone English or non English seriously knocking Southgate is probably more confused than they realise on the qualities of this limited but determined squad.

Limited sqaud xD England is embarrassed with quality. Is the typical English fan really this blind to what they have in terms of talent?

Genuinley have an argument for the best attack in the tournament. Kane, Foden, in particular, but Saka, Grealish and even Sterling all options. Then a pretty good midfield, Hendo is getting on but Bellingham is a player you wouldn't swap for anyone. England have Stones and any right back they play I rate very highly, with a suspect left defense in slab brain and Shaw, but they're still top level players. Easily one of the best 4 squads in the tournament.

Any yet they still rely Kane’s penalties and lucky free kicks when it comes down to the wire

Entertaining game so far..maybe I'm biased to the moment but this world cup has been one of the most entertaining ones I've ever watched. Japan, SK, Croatia, Saudi Arabia, Morocco..

This match is end to end, best two teams in the tournament
