OrangeKhrush Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 it will take a miracle for Luton to survive
Cicero Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 Better intensity this half. This Luton team is so poor though. Think Silva is the most guilty of holding the ball for far longer than he should. Slows everything down.
Redcanuck Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 Sterling the difference, might just be the best I have seen Sterling play for Chelsea.
Cicero Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 Job done. Took us a while but some good intensity showed that second half. This Colwill at LB and Chilwell at LW with 3 CBs on the pitch just breeds complacency against sides that will sit back. It's needless and something we need to move away from. Liverpool I understood but not West Ham or Luton at home. Feel for Luton. Don't see where they'll get a win.
Danny Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 Luton didn’t play well but I feel like there’s enough direction from the manager, quality in the team and organisation for them to step up some levels. I dont think theyll be this bad all season. In fact I dont think they were terrible tonight, I thought they had Chelsea pinned back for large parts of the game but they needed more quality in the final third, with the final ball. The first two goals they conceded were defended poorly and that needs to improve, third goal is hard to do anything about with that deflection. I thought Chelsea looked really good for the first 20-25 minutes, they need to find a way to keep that consistent. Was an overall comfortable win for them but I think maybe more down to Luton than themselves.
Bluewolf Posted August 25, 2023 Posted August 25, 2023 Sterling really has come out of the blocks this season.. a joy to watch Got the win and it might be enough to get us going now..
Honey Honey Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 I think absolutely any result could happen in our game and it wouldn't be a surprise.
N U F C Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 It’s a great game for us to look forward to tomorrow. Be a bouncing atmosphere, two good sides and should be plenty of goals. Managed to get myself a ticket for the first time in a while so hoping for a good one.
Administrator Stan Posted August 26, 2023 Author Administrator Posted August 26, 2023 Maddison opens the scoring. Just about gets enough in it but it was good movement.
Rick Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 That’s a nice goal from Spurs. Maddison bagging me some more fantasy points as well.
Whiskey Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 Beautiful goal from Spurs, Ange is doing a great job with them so far. I thought he would struggle.
Danny Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 Watching how good this Spurs team are gives me a lot of optimism for the season considering how well we nullified them and created against them on the opening day.
Administrator Stan Posted August 26, 2023 Author Administrator Posted August 26, 2023 Richarlison Tottenham really lack someone decent up front. They need a Harry Kane type there.
Danny Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 How has the ref missed that foul? Stood right on top of it. Actually comical

Danny Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 Feel like the gap between Bournemouth’s midfield and defence is always too big, makes it easy to counter against them, makes it harder for them to press as once Spurs beat one or two men its a big gap to run through

Disappointed with Kluivert, expected more from him.
Lucas Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 Very impressed with Tottenham, looking fluid from back to front when they go forward. Such a step up from watching Conte's laboured team. Maddison looks like he fits the system like a glove and obviously stands out but for me, that Sarr looks very impressive when he breaks. Definitely need a striker though. Can't help but feel Richarlison would be best wide left coming on to his right but equally, that's Son's position.
Administrator Stan Posted August 26, 2023 Author Administrator Posted August 26, 2023 At what point do Spurs bin off Richarlison?
Devil-Dick Willie Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 Richarlison has stolen a fucking living in football. Possibly the biggest flog I can remember. Crap, crap attitude.
Danny Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 Richarlison is playing out of position but fuck me I wouldn’t want him at Brentford

Semenyo looks good though, coping well with Spurs’ pressure and is an outlet for the team to push forward
