LFCMadLad Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Mo Salah actually won our own POTM. Not much between them though, both had excellent starts to the season.

Honey Honey Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 Does anyone think Mane will win it again in September?
UNORTHODOX Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 Maybe if he scores another 3.2 minute Hat-trick upon his return.
Harry Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 Is it confirmed how many games he'll miss yet?

It may be able to be downgraded from violent conduct if that I what was written up.
HK85 Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 I'm not sure sympathy will hold up on an appeal panel.

I read somewhere that because it was an on the ball incident it's classified as serious foul play rather than violent conduct, and so it only carries a one match ban. I have no idea if that's true.

The FA rules states: PLAYING IN A DANGEROUS MANNERPlaying in a dangerous manner is any action that, while trying to play the ball, threatens injury to someone (including the player themself) and includes preventing a nearby opponent from playing the ball for fear of injury. Think Mane's high foot comes under this category so therefore 3-match ban.

The Artful Dodger Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 3 does seem harsh, i thought that would be reserved for malicious intent .
Subscriber Dan+ Posted September 10, 2017 Subscriber Posted September 10, 2017 Right fucking laugh if it goes from 3 to 1, meaning the two games he'd then be available for is Leicester away and Leicester away.
The Artful Dodger Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 He wouldn't play in the league cup anyway.
IgnisExcubitor Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Deserved red for me, but I hope he doesn't get 3 match ban. Paul Joyce has stated that we appeal, then it can get reduced to 1 or 2.
