Moderator Tommy Posted April 8, 2022 Author Moderator Share Posted April 8, 2022 Today for lunch I made "Chicken ground steak". It's chicken meat cut really small, marinated over night in homemade mayonaise, herbs, onion and garlic. Then mixed with flour and eggs so you can form sort of a steak out of it. Apparently they eat that in the Ukraine, but with pork, beef or fish instead.

That looks gorgeous, going to give the wife a break from cooking today so I am going to have a slapdash John meal, once a month treat now that I am losing weight of pork chops, chips, beans and eggs (boiled for 3 minutes, not fried).

Administrator Stan Posted April 14, 2022 Administrator Share Posted April 14, 2022 Used my brothers pizza oven for the first time. So easy yet so tasty, looks great too... Can confirm there are no pineapples anywhere near the making of tuis pizza.

Subscriber nudge+ Posted April 17, 2022 Subscriber Share Posted April 17, 2022 Pretty much ran out of groceries today as it was a 5 day holiday, so just tossed some cabbage, bell pepper, onion in the wok along with some chili sauce, salt, pepper, turmeric and paprika powder, and then wrapped everything in a naan. BAM - an instant hit was born Seriously good for a quick evening meal.
Administrator Stan Posted April 17, 2022 Administrator Share Posted April 17, 2022 Can't go wrong with a chicken wing-fest on a barbecue on a sunny Bank Holiday. Happy days.

Sometimes when I'm making a stir fry and suddenly feel too lazy to make rice I do the same thing, except with a tortilla wrap.
Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted May 1, 2022 Subscriber Share Posted May 1, 2022 I love it when wee Kaiden is here for the night, I get to have one of his favourites, Scottish Pan Cakes, warm them up in the Micro for 2 minutes then add some butter and golden syrup on top, Lovely Jubbly as Del boy would say. MUFC
Bit off topic but on Monday I had my first ever milk cake in a dessert joint. I like coconut so purchased the coconut flavor. I never knew milk cakes tasted so good.

Moderator Popular Post Tommy Posted June 18, 2022 Author Moderator Popular Post Share Posted June 18, 2022 Made "Chicken Kiev" from scratch for the first time. It turned out a lot better than I had anticipated. But there's still room for improvement and I know what to do better next time. Still pleased with the outcome though. The whole thing took me 2 1/2 hours. 2 1
