Dave Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 Quote West Ham United have made a £20m offer to sign Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes, according to Sky sources. Sporting, who face losing a number of key players after they asked to have their contracts terminated, are, however, looking for a fee of £25m. One other Premier League club has shown concrete interest in Fernandes and it is thought La Liga giants Atletico Madrid are also keen on him. The 23-year-old starred for Portugal at the World Cup before they were knocked out in the last 16 by Uruguay, and he is among the Sporting players to have requested for their contracts to be terminated, citing "just cause".
Cicero Posted May 31, 2019 Posted May 31, 2019 United favorites to sign him. A midfield of Pogba and Bruno would be quite good on paper.
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted June 9, 2019 Subscriber Posted June 9, 2019 Was ready to piss myself at West Ham here before realising the initial article is from last summer. Worth a bit more than £20m now.
LFCMadLad Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Apparently we've bid £45m according to the Portuguese press?
Cicero Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Makes sense. You lot need end product from midfield and he'll undoubtedly give you that. Broke Lampard's goal scoring record last season.
Machado Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 West Ham, lol... £20M?.. Edit: Nevermind, just seen this is news from July.

Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted July 28, 2019 Subscriber Posted July 28, 2019 Manchester United are very close to signing Sporting Lisbon's Portugal midfielder Bruno Fernandes, 24, for 70m euros. (Sport - in Spanish)
Dave Posted July 28, 2019 Author Posted July 28, 2019 Ite fair to say this should be some upgrade for Fellaini.
Redcanuck Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 Not so sure there is really any truth to this move. All the noise on this is coming out of Portugal. It's even been said that United are actually upset with all the constant links to them. He looks a decent player and I would like him at United, but it does not look like United will spend the money for Fernandes unless Pogba leaves.

Administrator Batard Posted September 3, 2019 Administrator Posted September 3, 2019 I'm guessing Sporting made that 5m payout to him then for blocking a move. In retrospect he probably regrets that clause
DeadLinesman Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 I’d read we’d decided against an offer weeks before the deadline because he loses the ball to much. Would have for right in with the useless bunch of cunts we’ve got.
cb_96 Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Seems odd he never got his move like, startes the season well enough as well for Sporting
