ScoRoss Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 To be promptly followed by loan move after loan move...
Administrator Stan Posted March 28, 2017 Administrator Posted March 28, 2017 How many 'wonderkids' go on to be actual wonderkids and world class stars?
Honey Honey Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 Join Chelsea and be loaned to 10 different teams before you're 19.
True Blue Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 Future of the club, we have several players going through the ranks and be given a regular chance. We are well known as a club that creates youth products and we use them. Hope he joins then starts the next season in the first team, yes that is how fast we give them a chance.

Danny Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 They will not be pleased, they were fuming when we sign Lewis McLeod off of them who by all accounts was their best academy product in a while and rightly so to an extent as the trouble a club the size of Rangers have been in is ludicrous. But going back to their fans, the meltdowns were entertaining as they couldn't believe they were selling a star academy product to "fucking Brentford", and this was when they were bottom of the lot in Scotland.
ScoRoss Posted March 30, 2017 Author Posted March 30, 2017 They have truly been burdened with some dreadful owners in the last decade, present one not excluded. How they ever found themselves in a position where they needed to sell off McLeod was just awful mismanagement. It's not like they even got that much for him.

Tbh he's so injury prone they'd not get much use out of him
Rab Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 I think the the deal has been agreed but the player himself isn't sure about what to do.

Cure Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 He's going to be the next Islam Feruz. What happened to him? No starts and apparently five loan spells to such prestigious clubs as Royal Excel Mouscron and Crete. Young players with passion and this much footballing talent should be pushed more towards quality experience and dedication rather than long-term financial gain and little spells at clubs below their potential. This is why we can't compete and our young players fail. Look at Josh McEachran to see what happens to young players when they're subjected to countless loans spells with the likes of Chelsea. Not a great start.
Cicero Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 McEachran lacks bottle. Very technical and great passer of the ball, but he lacks grit to push himself to the next level. That was his issue.
The Artful Dodger Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 The loan spells themsevles aren't the issue, look at the players who've come through Spurs, most have had spells at several different clubs. It's whether they're going to the right places, whether Chelsea are actually looking after them properly in terms of development and ultimately whether the players have the drive to make it. I don't think Chelsea as a club have a particularly good culture for growth.

Not a great start. McEachran got more chances in the first team than most ever do. He didn't have the balls to take it to the next level. More content rooting his d-list girlfriend than having a decent career.
True Blue Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 I had high hopes for McEachran, even Ancelotti gave him time, mostly off the bench though.
DeadLinesman Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 Like anyone, he's chosen the money and ran. Mum and dad will have the mortgage paid off, he'll get a nice little run around and probably quadrupled his 'wages' when he signs on for professional terms. Nice little nest egg before ending up at Coventry in 3/4 years. On a humorous not, The S*n continue to post lies, stating "He will join up with the successful youth development structure at Stamford Bridge over the summer which has become the one of the most highly-rated in the country."
Smiley Culture Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 Great move for the kid. Just think, in a year or two he'll be driving around in the latest car, carrying around hundreds of pounds worth of washbags and headphones and for what? Doing very little in actual fact, the odd loan spell in Europe where he'll go largely undetected.
Inverted Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 Not even the fact that the Gers are losing one of their best talents makes up for the fact that Chelsea are going to ruin what could have been a good player for Scotland.
