Part of me just doesnt want to see any expensive players sold just to let prices come back down to earth and football lower it's operating costs a bit.

It's not like it's our cash that is getting splashed.

I think it kind of does mate because the greed mentality of football is a big part of the problem and it's driven in part by that ongoing hyperinflation in transfer values, and that huge disconnect between cashed up football clubs and their everyday fans. Less money in football is a good thing for everyone.
Cicero Posted July 9, 2020 Posted July 9, 2020 Rudiger should consider being an agent when he retires.
Moderator CaaC (John) Posted July 13, 2020 Author Moderator Posted July 13, 2020 Kai Havertz wants to leave Bayer Leverkusen because they failed to qualify for the Champions League so Chelsea needs to ensure they do qualify to convince the Germany midfielder, 21, to sign. (Bild)
Administrator Stan Posted July 20, 2020 Administrator Posted July 20, 2020 Havertz, Ziyech and Werner. Wow, that's some front line. Chelsea to become a force to be reckoned with over the next season or 2...
Cicero Posted July 20, 2020 Posted July 20, 2020 Orstein's pretty reliable but I cannot see how the books can be balanced in such a relatively short time frame. Not unless we already have suitors for the likes of Batshuayi, Barkley, Bakayoko, Drinkwater, Zappacosta, Moses, Kenedy and Rahman. Emerson to Inter for 20-25 million looks to be close.
Cicero Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Quote David Ornstein saying we've agreed on the the 80ME for Havertz.
Michael Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Leverkusen have apparently given Chelsea a deadline until the 28th of August, to come up with an acceptable deal to sign Havertz. https://www.teamtalk.com/news/kai-havertz-deadline-looming-chelsea-bayer-leverkusen

That may be true, but still that is a a massive amount of money we are talking about.

Rick Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 This guy is gonna be DeBruyne levels of brilliance, the money is fair.
Subscriber Viva la FCB+ Posted August 19, 2020 Subscriber Posted August 19, 2020 Talk about a revamp of Chelsea's frontline... Havertz, Pulisic and Werner
Cicero Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Lampard will probably want this starting most games. Kante Havertz----Mount Ziyech---------------------Pulisic Werner
Danny Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 So Chelsea definitely don’t believe in the youngsters they’ve got coming through then
