He has had that since he went in the army.... He used it to dig out over 5 miles of trenches in France alone during the first world war... The imperial war museum has him down as killing 3 people with it when his gun once ran out of bullets..2 points

I remember being out one afternoon walking the dog with the kids and my daughter was bigging me up about how fast I could run to her boyfriend and he started laughing when she suggested I could beat him easy.... so on the way back there is a huge stretch of open ground with one of them big electric pylons at the end so I told him I would race him to it.. We both set off and at first I was ahead because I obviously surprised him then we were neck and neck for a bit then just hitting the last leg and like you a total bottom half collapse... went down like a bag of coal being thrown from a truck .. totally ruined my shirt.... anyway being the sympathetic lot my kids are they all burst out laughing.. I told him I only lost because I must have slipped on dogshit or something.. Sad times...2 points

I took 3 players on. Got past 2 and as I ‘sprinted’ past the third, I literally fell over. My legs just gave way. Complete jelly. It was hilarious .2 points

@Staff when a topic is locked, that means you shouldn't post any further, it doesn't matter how much you want to fuel your blinded hate even further. Grow the fuck up. I'm honestly sick of enemies.1 point

Oh yea, already watched 5 episodes of this. Very intriguing and funny. And not the kind of trying to be funny while shoving it down your throat. Very subtle humour at times. Enjoying it a lot. The main actor looks like Tom Cruise and Thomas Müller's lovechild btw.1 point

I think K-Mag could have been something special, 2nd place in his first GP says it all. He just got a bit lost in the wilderness with his moves to Renault and then going to Haas which would become the backmarker car. Don't get me wrong, you make your own luck and perhaps he could have done more with McLaren, but the potentially was definitely there with him for me.1 point

I think Raw, Smackdown, and NXT should all be open to roster rotation, rather than just raw and smackdown. Raw should be for cuck angles, magic zombies, alexa blisses tits and all that stuff Smackdown should be 60-40 wrestling to silly shit, a proper rival for AEW NXT should go back a bit to what it was and be near pure wrestle wrestle wrestle. American NJPW. Rotate the roster once a year.1 point

It's quite clear that the 15 or so clubs in favour of this proposal haven't consulted broadcasters or fans in regards to this. Who is going to want to watch PSG vs City, Bayern vs Barca, United vs Real Madrid in the league when its plainly obvious they'll all get through the first league stage? It's going to feel like pre season friendlies in Asia. When you consulted with United fans under Van Gaal, Liverpool fans under Rodgers, Arsenal fans at the minute and Chelsea fabs after Mourinho part II, none of them would have wanted to get in The Champions League on a technicality. They wanted there teams to get there on merit and it was up to the likes of Kroenke, Woodward and Abrahamovich to create a competitive structure to get them there. I imagine it's the same with powerhouses abroad too. It's quite clear the likes of Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid are spoofed by how much they've fucked up seemingly indestructible empires to the stage where they're on the verge of having to enter a period like AC Milan have and the thought of that scares them. Losing to the likes of Brugge, Shaktar, Porto and struggling in their own domestic leagues has really spoofed them. They see teams like Leicester City emerging who are ran very well and have the financial advantage of being in the Premier League and it spoofs the shit out of them. One thing lockdown has emphasised to me is too much of anything is not a good thing. I thought a model whereby you could watch any Premier League game at any time was the future, but I find myself watching less football now than I used too just because its on all the time. Having 180 or so additional pointless European games isn't going to be any more of a turn on to anybody. Look at baseball in America, it's very rare you see a stadium close to full capacity because there's so many games on all the time. Football is in danger of heading the same way.1 point

Gabriel Menino is one of the best young players in brazilian football. He was a vital part of Palmeiras' Libertadores title last season. He's a central midfielder but he's extremely versatile and can also play as a right-back. In fact, Tite has called him last to the NT last year as a right-back. Very polished player for his age. I think there are players with more potential in brazilian football, but Menino due to his versatility and maturarity is one of the safest bets. He's the kind of player who doesn't necessarily have an outstanding tool but can do everything well. Atlético de Madrid is also said to be interested.1 point

Leicester will never be an elite club. Neither will Atalanta, neither will Frankfurt, neither will Real Sociedad. If there's any threat of it, the goalposts would move again. Even if we managed to qualify for the CL 5 years running and then missed out in year 6, making us one of the wildcards, they would have the rules changed before it could be allowed to happen. The only way we'd ever become an elite club is a Man City style takeover and even then we'd still be shunned for others who are already 'big'. It's just the way these people view the game. They have absolutely no feel for the game, have no appreciation for sporting achievement and can only see money. Such people will be furious that Leicester are likely to qualify for the Champions League again this season whilst one of Chelsea or Liverpool miss out. I'm not just saying that because I support Leicester, it's nothing to do with who we are, it's who we aren't, and we just happen to be the ones who put up the best fight, which I'm immensely proud of, but it always leads to a sad reminder of how soulless the sport is now.1 point

There was a time I'd lose my shit over this, but now I'm not that arsed. Football has been killed slowly for a while now and is only going to get worse, in 20 years we will have one big Super League and instead of having home/away games there will be "wildcards" in Shanghai, Doha, NYC and Abu Dhabi. I genuinely think in such time I could be one of those people that starts following non-league football in and effort to restart the romance of what the sport is all about - it's just a cash cow now.1 point

Sadly these changes talked about at the start of last year are due to be accepted and ratified https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56573883 A great safety net for the likes of Liverpool, Man Utd & Chelsea if they have a shit time of it domestically, knowing they can potentially qualify through a wildcard option in to this competition. A slap in the face to any club that wants to try and make a name for themselves or become established like those big clubs that once had success in the competition. Elite football's door slowly closes to anyone not already in that select group of teams. The marketability of football overrides the importance of competition and underdog stories or a smaller club wanting to break the glass ceiling, now, sadly.1 point
