  1. "After matches". I wonder how much scope this leaves them to release parts of conversations where it suits them? Sounds like a positive step in theory but I have such little trust in their willingness to embrace accountability. A live feed that some anoraks on social media could listen to during the game and then live-tweet about? That would be transparency.

  2. Kean is back at Juve.

  3. I don't even know if Moise Kean plays for us anymore to be honest. Dele Alli has had some good minutes as a bit of a false nine in pre-season so I expect he'd be next in line.

  5. Strange that your posts are almost identical, but who ever the author is you are right. Ronaldo should have let United know he wanted out as soon as we eliminated from last year's top four. United may have been able to have sold him, who to I have no idea, and had more time to bring in a replacement. His attitude has certainly destroyed his reputation with a lot of Unjted fans and the way this is ending its a shame he came back at all.

  6. Crazy how much you and I are alike! Fuck, does that mean I'm older than Gandalf too?

  8. I also think the way Ronaldo's acted this summer has been very poor. If he wanted out of Man Utd, he could and should have let them know earlier. Everyone knew they were getting a new manager, he could have done the new guy and the club a favour by letting him know he wants to move on this summer before the season ended. Then his suggestion that he signs a new contract, goes on loan this season to a CL club, and returns to United once they've qualified for the CL... floated by Mendes... is just an absurd suggestion. Tie him to the club for a year longer and have him return a year older and a year's worth of wear and tear... so he gets a chance to play for United in the CL again... even though he's part of that side that failed to qualify for it this year. It's a bit appalling after returning a year ago to a lot of fanfare, to turn on the clubs, fans, and players like that acting like he's too big to help them fight to where he wants them to be. He's as responsible as any other United player for them not being a CL club this season. He fought hard for this move - he didn't have to turn down City for United - and now he's back at a club he's considered a legend and he's really pissing over his whole legacy on his return. Now they're going to be starting a new season and it's not clear whether his heart is even in it... even though he's probably going to go into the season as United's most important attacking player. It's not great to go into a season with important players not believing in their teammates or in the new manager.

  9. Cheers @SirBalon - Da Michele is probably the first place we're going to after the train station/hotel! Knew you'd be a great person to ask!

  10. I think we're talking about the same thing in my first paragraph. I don't see what playing YNWA in training was supposed to do. It's sung at the start and end of a game, not all the way through

  12. It’s the same concept in fairness. Referees are rarely congratulated for doing a good job but are completely vilified for doing it badly. Which I do get on an occasion as some performances can be terrible, but they are not protected by clubs at all so someone has to do it.

  14. Too many things to see in Bella Napoli mate. If you want to capture the genuine Napoli... the Naples of the movies, you need to start in the Quartieri Spagnoli. That’s in the centre with the old alleyways and the typical Neapolitan shouting at each other with the typical “Oooooo..” Take the metropolitano to the Toledo station (which is a sight to behold in itself) and walk from there down the Via Roma. https://it.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quartieri_Spagnoli From there you continue walking downwards until you’ll come to a square where to the left hand side you’ll see La Mergellina which is the beautiful walk along the Neapolitan coast where again so many movies have been made. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mergellina If you go to the top of the city, there is a park called Capodimonte. It’s a great walk inside and if you go towards the museum they have there (don’t go inside it, it’s boring), you’ll see a fountain. By that fountain, you can see the whole of Napoli. The sight is breathtaking! https://it.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parco_di_Capodimonte Then there’s the trendy part of the city at the top called Il Vomero. This is where wealthy young people live and there’s all sorts of trendy stuff and cafes there. A bit like Barcelona’s La Rambla. Infact a lot of the architecture of that area is like Barcelona for historic reasons. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vomero I could go on mate. There are some amazing places to visit particularly religious artefacts and art to see like the Shrouded Christ which is a unique sculpture that took decades to make back in the day. To see it is to stand in awe. There’s also the ancient tunnels under the city started by the Greeks and finished by the Spaniards (because Neapolis, Parthenope was always special to Europeans for all sorts of reasons) are incredible if you have time mate. It’s too complexed to go into what’s down there. Pompeii is amazing and close by the even more ancient Herculaneum is mind blowing. Although they’ve opened new areas to the public at the Pompeii site, so it’s a must see. As for food... Man! Pizza Napoletana is obvious. Then the fish there is great although keep away from the tourist areas to eat. It’s shit and expensive. For Pizza, visit Da Michele or Sorbillo. They’re the two most young Neapolitans use and they’re really good. http://www.damichele.net/ https://www.sorbillo.it/ My favourite dishes are Parmigiana or the obvious, Lasagna. But there are hundreds of traditional Neapolitan dishes and whichever one you choose, you won’t go wrong. Puglia is absolutely beautiful though! And the wine there... WOW! Beats the crap out of the over commercialised Chianti. Puglia red wine is my favourite Italian wine. The “Negroamaro” style of making wine is unique as they use 20% sun dried grapes (raisins) giving it a distinctive dark red. Where am I going with this Along the Neapolitan coast (commonly known as the Amalfi Coast) is also great to drive down. From the port of Naples you can also get the fast boat to the islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida... Procida is my favourite for the simple fact that there are less tourists there and it’s where the movie, Il Postino was made. A great restaurant run by an old couple at the small fishermen port at the back of the island is the place to go. They make everything themselves from the wine to the pasta. You get treated like a king by that family and the amount they give you is perverse lol. The restaurant is called Gorgonia although La Locanda is amazing too. The boat trip is literally 20 minutes so you can go and returns the city in a couple of hours including eating of course.

  17. Very sad news. Andrejs Rubins had a big impact in his short time at Crystal Palace. He scored a magnificent 30 yard goal against Premier League's Leicester Ciry and his goal in the League Cup semi final against Liverpool allowed Crystal Palace fans everywhere to dream. Others may know him as the ridiculously good Latvian on Championship Manager 2002. 43 is no age to go and a stark reminder to make the most out of everyday.

  18. What's even funnier is that Rondon is actually suspended to start the season because of his mental red card against Brentford.
