  1. Table update for Round 7 (Primeira Liga). Viva moves off the bottom of the pile thanks to Batard's no show in this round. Eco misses the chance to close in having been absent in the Primeira Liga tie break but still goes clear of nudge in 2nd. With almost everyone scoring 3 points, the rest pretty much cancel each other out. At least 5 players have a genuine chance of taking the title if they can put a run together in the 8th and final round. 1. @Lucas - 28 points 2. @Eco - 25 points 3. @nudge - 23 points 4. @Tommy - 22 points 5. @Bluewolf - 21 points 6. @Michael / @RandoEFC - 16 points 7. @Storts - 14 points 8. @DeadLinesman / @Stan / @Rucksackfranzose - 12 points 9. @Dan / @CaaC (John) / @Azeem - 11 points 10. @...Dan / @Pyfish - 10 points 11. @SchalkeUK - 9 points 12. @JOSHBRFC / @Mel81x - 8 points 13. @Viva la FCB - 7 points 14. @Batard - 6 points

  2. Well, they played Red Bull twice already this season - claimed a draw at home against them and won the away match at Salzburg... so it's not as if Salzburg are unbeatable. The break seems to have ruined LASK'S run, but the biggest blow was Goiginger picking up a serious injury just before the break as he has been instrumental for LASK this season, on top of that Potzmann got a serious knee injury at about the same time too; that's two key players missing. And yes, not even second tier, they actually played in Regionalliga just a few seasons ago. Nevermind just fighting for the domestic title this season, they also put in some great performances in the Europa League, their first time ever in European competions. They were also screwed by poor refereeing in the qualification to CL rounds, would have qualified for the CL if it wasn't for very poor officiating.

  4. Let's try and leave the which side's worse shouts out of it. Last week a dangerous minority of idiots hijacked what should have been a peaceful march because they wanted to get in a scrap and take their anger out on some police who have done nothing wrong. This week, an admittedly more braindead group of idiots have come spoiling for a fight with the BLM protestors, the protestors didn't turn up but they want a fight so they've gone for the police instead. Left wing idiots don't represent "the left" and right wing idiots don't represent "the right". Both of them just represent idiots and it isn't the fault of the rest of the Black Lives Matter people or the rest of the more Conservative-minded people that a minority of dickheads hijack what they stand for as an excuse to fuck shit up. It does obviously remain concerning though that there are people doing Nazi salutes etc. and I'm not denying any of that but it doesn't justify what last weekend's dickheads did either. As far as I've seen, every significant right-wing commentator and a number of Conservative MPs have come out in full condemnation of today's idiocy as they did last weekend so I think the point-scoring can end there.

  7. They had to get to the Salzburg game with at least a 4 point deficit I reckon, as this game is a write off anyways. Salzburg on paper are just better. But I agree it would be a pity. I remember I managed them in FM a few years ago when they were in the second tier. Fast forward to today and I find out they were fighting the title. Would have been a proper fairy tale story crumbling to nothing.

  8. LASK are shambles. Finished the first part of the season on the top of the table with a 3 points lead, then the whole illegal "coronagate" training affair, and some truly uninspired performances after the break. Already fourth in the league now, with both Rapid and WAC ahead of them, meaning that if it continues and the don't improve, they'll miss out on European spots next season. Would be such a pity...

  14. And 3-4 KMs long queues. @topic Cases are increasing here after the partial opening. My floor has been sealed for 14 days after one of my neighbours caught it. No one on my floor is being allowed to step out of the house, apart from throwing their garbage which the authorities come to collect. Funnily on the first day of this floor lock down I gave a 15 minute long lecture to my mum and wife to use the food carefully and ration as much as they could. I get up next day to find them cooking three different types of vegetables.

  15. My wife got me Animal Crossing because she needed to be friends with someone who has cherries native to their island. So I had to keep restarting until I got cherries. I have no idea really what the point of this game is, but it’s weirdly relaxing.

  18. Interesting article here which mirrors what I experienced. My first symptom was on the 28th March. I didn't have a cough at any point. I had trouble breathing for around 5 days, I spent every day in bed until my breathing got better, then I tried to go for a walk and only lasted 5 minutes because I had chest pains and heart palpitations, felt like I was gonna have a heart attack. That feeling, along with a swelling on my chest, lasted a long time. I went back to work on the 20th April, 23 days after my first symptom, despite not really feeling ready, because my doctor didn't seem too concerned about my condition and I felt guilty about not going to work when my condition wasn't serious enough for me to be in hospital. I had minor chest pains at work, but I was ok. The next day I watched Netflix in bed all day. When I finally left my room for more than 10 minutes for the first time to make dinner, I started shaking, sweating, and had chest pains and heart palpitations again. I called 111 and they sent an ambulance. By the time they arrived I felt ok because I was resting. My EKG results were ok, the paramedics recommended that I stay at home rather than going to the hospital, and see a doctor in the morning. They said maybe it's an anxiety attack. I said I've been fine all day, making dinner doesn't make me anxious. They said they don't believe I had coronavirus because I didn't have a cough. I told them that my lungs hurt and I couldn't breathe, and they said well in coronavirus, the trouble breathing is a result of the coughing. They tried to tell me that my chest pain and my lung pain/trouble breathing were most likely unrelated. I insisted on going to the hospital. I was there from midnight until 6am, had several tests done and they found nothing. I feel like weren't trying to find out what was wrong with me, only trying to rule out something serious, since I went in with chest pains. I mentioned the swelling on my chest and they didn't even examine it. For the next month I slowly got better. I started going for walks every other day, then every day. I went to the doctor once for another blood test, mentioned the swelling again and they didn't examine it again. I discovered a condition called costochodritis on Google, which can happen after an infection and can be mistaken for a heart attack. I mentioned it to the doctor on the phone and she said yeah you're probably right. She recommended taking ibuprofen for it. I took it for around 2 weeks and it helped a bit. I stopped taking it because I was feeling sick quite often and figured it could've been because of the ibuprofen. I finally returned to work again on the 20th May, 53 days after my first symptom, feeling a lot more ready this time. The lung pain is still there, I feel it every day, my chest feels a lot better, but it still feels weird occasionally, and I feel exhausted after a day at work (though it's improving over time), but I don't know if that's post covid fatigue or just because I spent almost 2 months in bed. https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2020/06/covid-19-coronavirus-longterm-symptoms-months/612679/?utm_term=2020-06-04T15%3A46%3A38&utm_campaign=the-atlantic&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_content=edit-promo COVID-19 Can Last for Several Months The disease’s “long-haulers” have endured relentless waves of debilitating symptoms—and disbelief from doctors and friends.
