This is one way to tackle global warming at least. The sky has never looked prettier without the chem trails!

This reminds me of some great 'nature is healing' memes on Twitter in the last couple of weeks xD

I'm feeling such a feeling of freedom now that the government doesn't control my mind with chemtrails.

A family have been sent home by police after driving nearly 200 miles (322 km) to go fishing, despite restrictions being in place due to coronavirus.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the family from London was discovered near Torquay at about 05:00 BST.

Control room supervisor Mike Newton said they were fined and "escorted out of Devon", adding: "I shall refrain from further comment."

The government advice is to stay at home and away from others.

It repeated messages against holiday travel and to only go outside for food, health reasons or work where essential ahead of the Easter weekend.

Should've been thrown in jail for a week or so. So much stupidity needs to be punished severely.

Jail perhaps harsh but I'd have confiscated their car and made them walk back that length of distance. Less costly to the taxpayer and more punishing probably!

I know. But some people seem to be unteachable until they get to experience proper consequences. The jail thing I said was probably a bit too harsh, but I still so many people around me who are just too frivolous and silly when it comes to the virus.

I know there's some jest in the post but quite different profiles of the country to copy them (if people are serious about wanting to). Totally different demographics and population levels.

Limitations for sure, especially geography and density.

Nationwide lockdowns shouldn't necessarily happen in a country the size of the UK. That's a failure in test and trace. Outbreaks happen in enclaves, regions, small communities then spread. This is what Italy tried to solely lockdown  without testing so they had no idea the scale of what was happening.

UK shouldn't be considering everywhere opening back up in sync in my opinion. If we had the data you could open the lower risk areas. It will certainly be the case that some towns and cities are currently unnecessarily locked indoors and others don't need another 2 months of lockdown.

A good thread highlighting our ridiculously high death toll, lack of media scrutiny and the govt altering the numbers by not including people who’ve died of corona but weren’t tested beforehand in the official numbers

It was a decent thread until she tried to make out that none of this is China's fault for the fact that people in Europe were going about in groups.

Countries blaming their government for not acting sooner is fair as there is a little bit of blame to be thrown about everywhere but how does that suddenly deflect the blame away from the country who started this virus, then tried to hide it until it was too late?

What is it with lefties in this country? What is actually wrong with them? This isn't about some pathetic political agenda, it's real life!!!

The fucking utter morons, it makes me angry.

Ironic you say 'lefties' then say its nothing about political agendas?

I don't think she's totally discounting China. Just that people as well could have helped themselves by minimising risk and not going round in groups. Some people should not totally be absolved of blame. That's not to say China aren't to blame if you do, but maybe the spread of the virus could have been restricted.

Yes and I was agreeing with it all, until there was a video at the very bottom of the thread pretty much claiming China are blameless due to the fact that people went to concerts, I.e I'm to blame for going on a holiday I'd paid for. Forget the country who spread the virus or the WHO, who claimed this virus wouldn't be a global problem, let's all blame our own. Let's blame some family for going out for a 1 hour 5 minute walk instead of an hour..

Countries not acting quick enough is a separate blame and they should have all closed their boarders to China back in Jan, nevermind implented serious lockdown messures. But this has nothing to do with China's role, which shouldn't be forgotten, nor does it have any relevance in how each individual country dealt with this.

People seem scared of blaming a country as they see it as though you're blaming the whole population, although that's not the case at all. It was a Chinese doctor himself who tried to make this public knowledge after all. There are also alot of people over there who risk their lives taking footage to show people what really occurs there.

Chinese people are generally among the friendliest and most harmless. But a government is unfortunately a representation of a nation and their government and the way their country functions makes them a very threatening one to all of our livelihoods, far more so than 5 people having a house party in Manchester.

The next virus coming from there could be 10 times more deadly and you cannot trust a country who try and hide something so serious. It's not like they didn't do the same with SARS either. That was simply a case of being lucky that it didn't spread and become a global pandemic. We can't simply just go into quarantine whenever a virus rears its head in a country that is a million miles away. This should have been contained in that country and never left in the first place. This is their fuck up most of all.

What do we know about the probability of false negative test results?

Background: My mother in law has come down with pneumonia. Two weeks earlier her daughter went to hospital with coughing and severe asthma. First time she'd ever been hospitalised for asthma in her life. Was tested for corona and came back negative.

It seems unlikely to be COVID because Australia is definitely seeing a tapering off, with less than ten positives a day in my state. But it still could be?

I read success rate of even the best tests at the minute is only 90%, don't know how true that is though.

She was using the video that somebody else posted, to highlight that the weekend that Ireland cancelled St. Patrick’s Day there was a giant Stereophonics concert happening in Cardiff. The lady who wrote the thread didn’t mention China...

Some goods today is Spain's numbers keep dropping and they've reported their least amount of daily cases since 20th March. The number of deaths are dropping aswell, although still reaching the 500 mark.

I thought deaths went up for Spain yesterday.

Case numbers dropping quite a lot is of course good though.
