Looked off before they drew the lines and then they decided that quickly? All a bit suss to me.

Yeah, I think he was fucking offside. Decided so quick with one line drawn and done.

If the line's in the right place and there's nothing to suggest it wasn't, then speed of these decisions being quicker is good for the game. No-one likes the 2-3 minute delays while they pore over inches, or less.

I'd argue it's an improvement on some other decisions seen (that Sheff Utd one against Spurs last season comes to mind where it took ages).

I agree with that and welcome it if the new normal is them getting it done within 30 seconds but it was just a bit weird how he looked offside to the naked eye and there was no zooming in or anything or showing us where the lines are drawn. I know they don't have to show us but usually they do so it was just a bit odd. Not saying it's actually corrupt or anything, just unusual.

Honestly, I don't mind that given as a goal. Said a couple of times earlier this season that those tight ones should be given as a goal. When you see some of the decisions this season though and the length they've gone to rule goals out it's annoying. Consistency issue again

They deserve a fete. Glorious.

I was going to say they couldn't have a Fete under the tier rules but it's different for Liverpool... maybe they could have a big one and perhaps a raffle and some rides or something to help raise funds for a dip in the January transfer window.. They could do a 'Wear a Salah shirt and roll around in the penalty box for 2 minutes' that should raise some extra cash..

Yeah, we need to stop shooting straight down the middle. Lloris is picking this up all day long. Can’t complain about anything else, we have been fantastic.

Congratulations on a very well taken and unbiased point. I’d be fuming if it was against us as such because of the detail they go into over other decisions and offsides. We had the conversation a while ago though.

To be fair, the furthest forward part of each player was their foot. I do think it's a bit weird they didn't zoom in, but no need for the lines in this case. Don't think this is any sort of shift to a new way of doing it

You see, a big reason why I find conservative football unsustainable for top clubs is perfectly demonstrated by Spurs performance tonight. Bergwijn is essentially a wing back and Son is playing as a DM for the majority of the game.

Is it successful? Of course, especially when the players buy into the "us vs them" mentality Mourinho implements. It's whether or not the players want to make a career out of it during their prime years. So its no surprise Mourinho has a track record of his sides downing tools

Lloris Spurs best player that half.

Weird game. Liverpool dominant pretty much 95% of the game. Score a jammy goal. Spurs have one attack with Son given freedom of Anfield and he scores it.

Another one on the goal: Amazon's presentation has been really good, but there they fell into the trap of showing us some bullshit replay or a close up of the managers when the ball was in play. Hate that shit

The inconsistency is exactly why I'm so fucking pissed off about this.

Oh Bobby's armpit or Salah's ball bag are a milimetre offside... goal disallowed. Son's basically as questionable as it gets with an offside... with his foot, not his armpit/nipples/anything weird like that like they've looked at before. And they give it.

Basically the only consistency you can expect out of our refs is that they're inconsistent at best and incompetent at worse.

Amazon is terrible. Coverage is behind. Didn’t even see our one attack of the half. Awful.

Terrible performance but kinda funny to be level. I hate it though. This football isn’t for me. Liverpools goal ridiculously lucky too

He's level though?

They just showed the lines again and they show he is level.

I think that's not just Amazon - but the global feed for the league. So not really their fault tbh.

Your goal, it just appeared with Son 1 on 1. It's been pretty poor all night.

Don't know why there are people moaning about offside, it wasn't.

Gotta be a dodgy fucking run if your baw bag is offside xD

Where I'm watching it they showed 2 angles with lines - one where he looks level and one where he doesn't and the commentary team basically said the equivalent of "lol wtf."
