I know I have it with the dvd copy I bought  a billion years ago, not sure if you can find it for free online or not. Also Iwo Jima is a good shout too actually that was really well done. I think weve talked about this before cus it was funny in comparison how big a steaming pile o shit Flags was.

Wouldn't mind buying it, but can't find it anywhere :( Oh well, I'm due a rewatch anyway, so will just have to stick with the regular cut :D

Honestly these days I definitely have the free time to watch a movie every week I could finally commit to it xD

I'd be up for it too...

A brilliant film that, first watched it when I was a wee nipper sitting beside my mum, dad & sisters and have watched it again many a time over the years but now with the wife as my mum & dad have passed away years ago.

The performance of Harold Russell as ex Petty Officer Homer Parish who actually lost both of his hands during WWII and he was one of only two non-professional actors to win an Academy Award for acting the part of the latter, the film was funny yet sad how life went on after WWII, and whenever I see that film I think back to my old man when he was alive and the stories he would tell about his service in the submarines during the war.

That's a great family story.

Your father must have been a very brave man. Thanks for his service. :)

They were all brave in that time, service men, women and the civilians during the blitzed, my mother was petrified of thunder and lighting when I was young and my dad was in the merchant navy after the war and away at sea.

She would cower in a corner and ask me to draw all the curtains in our house, I often wondered why because I was only young then but found out from my older sisters that reminded her of the blitze during the war.

It's a mystery. It failed twice xD

Before COVID, I felt like I never had enough time to watch a film. In the last week I've watched one film a day xD

As for my favourite film of all time... it's tough I had to think for a while about it. I want to say Amadeus. But maybe Taxi Driver instead. Maybe even Trading Places

I also barely watched any movies in the last few years due to lack of time; getting back into it was one of the few good things about 2020... The film club still fails to take off, though xD

Taxi Driver is a good shout... Probably in my top 5.

Ohhh Voces Inocentes is so good... Have seen it so many times, but not in recent years. Time for a re-watch, I think.

I didn't even notice you wrote this.

I actually forgot about it until recently. I'll have to watch it again as it's been a while. Great film and it was you who actually recommended me it originally.

Surprised nobody has mentioned it. But......

Easy.

The Godfather.

Godfather 2 isn’t far behind. Definitely in the top 5.

It might be Inglourious Basterds.

I love that film. In my top 5 I think.

I don’t think I can name just one... although it’s not as epic as so many mentioned in this thread, I just love Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead 🤷‍♂️

True Romance or Training Day.

True Romance by a mile, the best Tarantino film affaic.

Was never a fan of Training Day, I always thought Denzel's Oscar was only down to guilt because he had been snubbed by the Hollywood foreign press the year before for the vastly superior Hurricane.

Training Day is a movie I've watched so many times and just never get bored.

I can watch it too, I just thought Denzel Washington was good in it but great in the Hurricane the year before.:)

Amazed that the likes of @nudge have not mentioned this one, the opening music is bloody haunting and sends tingles down my spine, a great movie of so many to choose from.
