He'd have been much much better off at Real Sociedad where he was developing very well and one of the first names on their teamsheet.

True but would have been a threat to Real Madrid qualifying for CL

He should never of went to Madrid in the first place, his career has been wasted in the last 4 years, if he had just signed for someone like Ajax he wouldn't be in this situation now.

60m Euros is the asking price Real Madrid have set for him...

The possibility that Martin Odegaard ceases to be a Real Madrid player this summer is not far-fetched. Arsenal want to keep the Norwegian, who has played on loan in London since January, and the white club is willing to listen to offers for him.

Real Madrid knows that Odegaard is going to be a great footballer, but the current economic circumstances added to the attitude shown by the player in January, which displeased not only Zidane but the entire management leadership , may lead to a transfer that no one would have imagined a year ago.

Martin Odegaard returned from his assignment to Real Sociedad early and Real Madrid hoped to see a version of the Norwegian like Anoeta's, that Zidane would give him the ball and we would be in front of a reference player in the new Madrid. None of that happened and Odegaard ended up at the Emirates Stadium. Now, an offer of 60 million euros can make Real Madrid sign their final exit .

The club does not rule out hearing offers for any of its players. Virtually no one is non-transferable at Real Madrid and Odegaard is one of the players whose future is most up in the air, even despite Zidane's departure from the white club . The Norwegian's situation is delicate.

If Arsenal or any other club wants him, he will have to pay a good sum of money, that's for sure. Real Madrid has set a minimum price of € 60 million, including goal bonuses . The fixed figure would be at least 50 million euros.

Odegaard has a market value of 40 million euros according to Transfermarkt, but it is not crazy to think that Arsenal can pay that amount for the Norwegian, who has curdled a good second half of the season with the  Gunners .

  • The title was changed to Martin Ødegaard - Real Madrid Want €60m

I know Real Madrid are desperate for money but do they really think they're gonna get €60m here?

It'll be interesting to see how their summer goes. Wanting to sell Odegaard, Bale, Ceballos, Hazard, Brahim Diaz, and Mariano, while trying to replace Ramos.

€35m rising to €40m in the end. For that price you can't really complain. I just worry him, ESR and Saka as a part of your front 4 just doesn't bring enough goal contributions, especially goals. Hoping they can improve that a lot this season.

I really rate Odegaard and think he will come in to his own as a football over the next couple of seasons.

Again though, like a lot of Arsenal's business this summer, it's a big outlay for a position that doesn't appear a necessity. In January it felt like they absolutely needed a number ten because we didnt realise how developed Emile Smith-Rowe was. The argument for two players in every position could have been counter reacted by Willock playing an advanced role in a midfield three.

It's not as bad as the outlay on Ramsdale but it appears after the Super League debacle the owner has promised a cash injection that the scouting department wasn't prepared for. "All the gear and no idea" seems the phase for Arsenal since Wenger.
