Playing better = how good your general play is.

Winning = scoring more.

Playing well and winning isn't the same thing. Everyone understands this. It's easy to understand this.

The team that plays better wins, the goal of the sport is to score goals, if a team fails to do this they were a worse team than the other. Anything else is a cope.

Being at one with your morals.

There was no moral high ground in WW1. That was just a shitfight for global imperial supremacy.
In world war 2 Germany were guilty of unimaginable horror, as were japan. But if you wanted the moral high ground you shouldn't have allied with Russia.

50/50 game, I genuinely think we'd have won the World Cup if we'd won this game.

No hard feelings toward Kane the pressure must have been insane and he's never let us down before.

It's a good squad of players, I genuinely think we will win the next Euros if we give another manager a go with this squad.

No idea why he took off Saka tonight, he was brilliant.

Also colonialism, the slave trade, East India Company, rampant free market capitalism, classism, racism, and general cultural imperialism.

Yes, for now, it is just back to normal England. After some terrible years. But I'd much rather somewhere in the Top 8 than nowhere near.

I'm not sure on Southgate. Maybe his journey is done. Maybe it isn't. Perhaps a big name coach can get more from many of this squad over the next 4 years. Or perhaps we would just swap this Southgate era for something like Capello, or Sven. And ultimately be no better off, or move backwards.

Thought England were the better team by a long way.  Lloris played a career game made 3 or 4 great saves and he's the weakest link on that team.  Pickford never should have been beaten from that distance and the ref missed an Enlish penalty in the first half.   Though lost to take, think the French should win it now, but with Morocco and Croatia you never know.
