Red pencils are a subset of pencils. Schadenfreude is a subset of freude.

A black pencil isn't a red pencil. Joy from winning is black, joy from other's misfortune is red.

Gerard Pique is the best centre back in the world on his day, he's certainly a MUCH better defender than Sergio Ramos, who for whatever reason many people seem to rate.

Because they let his 'late winning goals' cloud their judgement and  completely ignore the fact he is quite honestly bang average as a defender. I'm actually surprised he didn't retire from football after he suffered the embarrassment no defender has ever endured back in 2006 against Ronaldinho.

Great footballer, game winner, but average defender.

Pique is fantastic on his day but has looked quite embarrassing when the whole team has looked poor. Still,  I'd rate only Bonnucci, Silva, Godin, and Alderweireld ahead of him.

1. Away goal rule should be turfed during after extra time

2. Italys "hoodoo" on Germany consists of 2 regular time wins.  (1982 & 2012) All other games went to a 90min draw or extra time. Close encounters

Marc-Andre ter Stegen is at least on the same level as Manuel Neuer.

ter Stegen:

-better reflexes

-better touch & technique in general

Neuer:

-better positioning

-better anticipation

-less unforced errors*

*I don't count losing the ball to pressing as an forced error. The best modern keepers need to be able to deal with pressing.

I won't say 1) is unpopular. There are a lot of people actually in favour of totally scrapping the away goals rule. Personally I agree with you, it should stand but shouldn't come into effect anymore during extra time. It's unfair to lose on away goals if, say, you only had 90 minutes at their ground but they got 120 at yours.

Neymar leaving is far from the disaster some people think it would be, I only see us improving as a team and coming out better with that amount of money as long as it's wisely used

An opinion of mine that I've changed, but I've finally decided that Lewandowski is the best striker in the world.

I always rated him a lot. To me he is the best striker after suarez but since suarez is not really in his form anymore then yes definitely lewa has to be the best striker on planet right now. Can think of anyone who comes close to him tbh
