North vs South

Recommended Posts

Following Lukaku's call on twitter for the PL to have an all-star game, several media outlets have done articles where they picked teams from the North and for the South. The only limitation is you are only allowed to pick 3 players from each club, as shown below:

What do you reckon?

Who gets the midlands? Those two teams would just be so open and shit defensively

Boruc

Bellerin - Alderweireld - Rudiger - Bertrand

Dembele - Kante

Ramsey - Ozil - Hazard

Kane

Jesus - Aguero - Salah

KDB - Matic - Silva

Robertson - Van Dijk - Tarkowski - Valencia

De Gea

Everything north of Southampton is the north.

I didn’t know David De Gea was born up North.

Premier League ‘All Stars’ vs MLS ‘All Stars’ in some far flung destination a week before the Charity Shield, I can just see it now.

Offer each club a sum, a few million per player selected, and the club owners will be game for this.

Anything "All Star" related shouldn't get off the ground.

For the record I'm against it, but it's only a matter of time. Football is all about armchair glory hunters around the globe.

It wouldn't be good to see any kind of all star game. Glorified friendly, american shit. It would be perfect for the social media footballers like Pogba......

It's a matter of time though. Anyway, I thought they wanted less games not more? It seems to be less games games against the paupers in the football league- FA Cup replays, league cup etc, but more friendlies in China that make the big wigs loads of money.

Interesting concept, but won't ever work and I doubt they would fill the stadium. Imagine Arsenal and Spurs fans cheering with one another for the south xD

DeGea

Walker-----Bailey----Otamendi---Robertson

Fernandinho

KDB------Silva

Firmino

Salah-----------------------Aguero

Kane

Hazard----Erikson-----Ozil

Dembele----Kante

Davies----Vertonghen---Alderweireld---Azpilicueta

Caballero

Lloris and Courtois are overrated as fuck

I was expecting it to be of players born in the north and south.

North-west vs the rest. Slightly fairer.

Kane

Sterling - Alli - Zaha

Noble - Cork

Bertrand - Smalling - Gomez - Clyne

Woodman

Was doing so well there until the goalkeeper, above is just South East.

The Midlands team would be funny. Leicester, West Brom and Stoke. We can't enter purely on the basis we could only name 9 players xD

A Premier League 'All Stars' game where two managers are selected and have a draft where they pick one player from each Premier League team to complete a twenty-man squad would be interesting, only for the draft selection.

Personally I've never considered the North East to be part of this north/south thing. Always find it weird when people call me a northerner. Never had any affinity with South Yorkshire or the North West as it is so far away.
