Results - Gameweek Two

Casualties (6)

First to fall off the Bundesliga bus this week is @robosys, who, unless he gets online and picks a team in the 5pm kick off, has failed to make a pick in time for this set of fixtures. On the pitch, Hertha Berlin blow the Last Man Standing League wide open, their 2-2 draw at Borussia Dortmund ending the hopes of @RandoEFC and @Panna King for this round of the competition after they backed the current league leaders. This means that all of the top three from the opening Premier League round will watch nervously from the sidelines as the chasing pack continue to rack up the points. Freiburg picked up their first win in four games in a 3-1 success over @Bluewolf's pick Borussia Monchengladbach, with @Azeem also taking his leave of this edition of the competition as Hannover were unable to complete their comeback from 2-0 down against Augsburg. Only one contender was in play on Sunday, and it's another loss for the Bundesliga clan as Frankfurt were unable to follow up their 7-1 win last week, Haller's late equaliser at Nurnberg not enough to see @SchalkeUK live another day. All six casualties this week have scored one point, plus any bonus points in the unlikely event of all of them coming joint 3rd. Tough luck guys, see you in the next round.

Survivors (8)

Already almost two-thirds of this round's entrants have been sidelined within the first two weeks of the competition, but eight men and women remain to fight it out still. Augsburg's 2-1 win at Hannover sees @Viva la FCB into the third gameweek, without having used either of Dortmund or Bayern to get this far. With the World Cup Last Man Standing title under his belt, home advantage and two big hitters left to use here, Viva is in a strong position as the field continues to narrow. Also sitting pretty are @Stan and @StefBWFC, whose identical Gladbach/Hoffenheim combo sees them into Gameweek Three with their BVB and FCB chips still sitting in their back pockets too. This week was particularly comfortable for these two as Hoffenheim smashed ten man Stuttgart 4-0 on Saturday evening. The rest of our survivors have the defending champions to thank for their progress, @nudge, @The Palace Fan, @Teso dos Bichos, @Lucas and @...Dan all surviving a somewhat nervy win for Bayern Munich at Mainz, Thiago's goal the difference in a 2-1 win that sees Niko Kovac's men move within two points of league leaders Dortmund. Congratulations to the eight of you for reaching Gameweek Three, that's two points on the board so far with the opportunity to add to this tally and a good chance of bonus points too. Please read on and prepare to make your next picks.

Absolute last minute bants from the Bundesliga as Augsburg concede a 88th minute equaliser and Bayern concede an 89th minute equaliser.

Unreal. Bayern conceding late is a consolation but didn't see Augsburg dropping points today.

Results - Gameweek Three

Casualties (3)

The victims of this week of the Last Man Standing league were all eliminated in the most frustrating of circumstances. Augsburg were backed this week by @Stan and @...Dan, but were pegged back twice at home to Nurnberg, conceding a maddening equaliser in the 88th minute of the tie. Bayern Munich appeared to be labouring to a narrow 1-0 win at home to Freiburg after Serge Gnabry's 80th minute goal gave them the lead, but the defending champions defied their incredulously short odds for victory by conceding in the last minute of the 90 to draw and spell the end of @StefBWFC's stay in this round of the competition. Bad luck guys, keep an eye on your notifications for the beginning of the next round. For now, you have scored 2 points from this round and could be in for a bonus point depending on how long it takes for the remaining contenders to duke it out.

Survivors (5)

The five remaining contenders all have a Thorgan Hazard Piggybach to thank for their route into the fourth week of this edition of Last Man Standing. Gladbach were tied at 0-0 halfway through their home banker with hapless Fortuna Dusseldorf, but eventually ran out comfortable 3-0 winners, carrying @nudge, @The Palace Fan, @Teso dos Bichos, @Lucas and @Viva la FCB over the latest hurdle. Congratulations to you five, as you all have at least 3 points in the bank from this round.

With two Bundesliga natives making it this far, we arguably have a couple of clear favourites for this round, and we can't ignore the fact that @Viva la FCB is yet to use Bayern Munich or Dortmund to get this far, @Lucas the only other survivor with one of those two chips still left to play. It will be tricky to take advantage of that this week though! See below for the next gameweek's odds and get ready to make your picks, bearing in mind you cannot choose any team you have already used!
