Tyrion to a very specific group of 100 ish people who are nobles who want him persecuted for a crime he didn't commit while he has just been sentenced to death "I shoulda let someone else kill you instead of defending you" Danny to the innocent poor people of kings landing, not even the red keep, as she wins her greatest victory and gets everything she ever wanted after promising she would show mercy 'imma personally kill you with fire instead of freeing you' Fairy in boots. "This is basically the same"4 points

Again, we don't have an issue with Dany becoming the mad queen. We absolutely have an issue with how it was handled. From fighting to save westeros to burning the capital and it's inhabitants 1.5 episodes later. Horrendous storytelling.2 points

Are people genuinely suggesting this Daenerys heel turn came out of nowhere? I guess her being mental about being queen and killing anyone who doesn't accept her as queen wasn't enough of a clue... Wouldn't even consider being allies with the North unless Jon "bent the knee". She's always been mad and relied on her advisors to stop her from doing mad shit. This really wasn't out of nowhere, episode by episode this season she's become more and more insecure and desperate. It wouldn't have made sense if she didn't go mad. Hope Daenerys dies in the finale. Hope Jon dies too for bending the knee and then being a bitch since bending the knee. Hope Arya dies for ruining everything. Hope Sansa is queen.2 points

It's because the character development has been so underdone mate. Less than two episodes before she unleashed a holocaust on the scared villagers in Kings landing she was fighting desperately to save humanity. From Jesus to Hitler in 90 minutes. To jump to the worst and most evil villain in the entire show from that point with a couple of short dialogue scenes and a missandei beheading is not good story telling. This show which started out as a political thriller has now evolved into the corniest of Michael Bay movies.2 points

Again, David Beckham received the same kind of treatment. New haircut, New outfit, Etc. The media tore him apart and this was well before the 98' incident.2 points

@Dr. Gonzo @nudge @6666 This is the mess the US has created in Afghanistan and Trump wants to get out but just like Vietnam it hurts their pride to accept it so they need to create another drama to end this one1 point

Every team has a number of sponsors. The big lead sponsor is called "a title sponsor" and its name is usually included in the full team name of most constructors in one way or another. For example: Mercedes - Petronas - Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport Ferrari - Philip Morris - Scuderia Ferrari Mission Winnow Red Bull - Aston Martin - Aston Martin Red Bull Racing Haas - Rich Energy - Rich Energy Haas F1 Team etc. You can see an overview here: Sauber uses Ferrari engine and has a technical partnership with them; Ferrari gets to chose one driver for one seat in exchange (this season it's Giovinazi; last season it was Leclerc). Alfa Romeo is not a F1 engine supplier at all but they belong to the same FIAT-Chrysler group as Ferrari so there's a connection there and this connection is also the main reason why Sauber got them as the main sponsor. Engineers and other staff are all Sauber employees though. The name of the company that owns the team is still Sauber Motorsport AG. The ownership and the management structure haven't been changed. The team runs under a Swiss racing license. Alfa Romeo is the main sponsorship partner and since this season, Sauber renamed their team to "Alfa Romeo Racing" as it benefits them financially and gives them more exposure as well. But it's just a name. The companies are not joined in any way.1 point

@Azeem Lovely ton from Imam-ul-Haq. Only in 97 balls as well. Made today's innings look very easy and quite an accomplished century.1 point

@nudge, you will love this, a long read though Mariana Trench: Deepest-ever sub dive finds a plastic bag By Rebecca MorelleScience Correspondent, BBC News An American explorer has found plastic waste on the seafloor while breaking the record for the deepest ever dive. Victor Vescovo descended nearly 11km (seven miles) to the deepest place in the ocean - the Pacific Ocean's Mariana Trench. He spent four hours exploring the bottom of the trench in his submersible, built to withstand the immense pressure of the deep. He found sea creatures, but also found a plastic bag and sweet wrappers. It is the third time humans have reached the ocean's extreme depths. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-482301571 point

We are the ants on a Persian carpet. We experience life's colors and textures but fail to discern the beauty of the pattern. - Rumi1 point

Not out of nowhere mate. A rapid oscillation from saving humanity to the most extreme of evil that is too extreme to be consistent with her character. I'd believe her burning a building full of innocents with Cersei hiding in it. Really that could have achieved the same end point for Jon in a more believable way.... Even as mad Dany (which I do buy) i don't believe she'd commit post-surrender genocide of the children of Kings landing whilst leaving Cersei to do whatever the fuck. Not even Aries would have done it. She may as well have been doing the doctor evil laugh as she went. Muahahahaha.... It was a visual feast but a storytelling abomination.1 point

In 1953 I sat in the old Regal cinema in Wakefield and saw a young woman ride a horse across the screen and sing 'Secret Love' and as a 'sad' teenager I was smitten. In those days the films were shown continuously and I sat and watched the film all the way round again and never, ever forgot that moment. Sadly dear Doris has died at the age of 97 and I am listening again to Secret Love, Que Sera Sera and her original 'When I fall in Love' version from 1952. Time has not changed that spark and with millions of other 'wrinklies' today I am a sad person! In later life she became slightly recluse and apart from her admirers, but she was one very special lady. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fU8tQpCZEzg1 point

Have you considered that he is their top earner and is significantly under performing and not even trying very hard and that it has nothing to do with his race or appearance or heritage at all? Have you considered that you are a gobshite?1 point

And Kane gets 'negative attention' for how he speaks by a lot of non-Spurs fans (which is childish and immature at best) but is that because he's white? Is it fuck. Ridiculous statement indeed.1 point

Quite like stuff like this . I remember Drinkwater's kid doing it at the end of the season lap of honour thing few seasons ago for us and the kid scoring got a bigger cheer than some of the goals in the season1 point

Watched John Wick 2, enjoyed it more than the first, because this time I didn't go with high expectations and prepared for the lack of story and simply enjoyed the violence. Good fun this.1 point

I actually just watched that randomly enough, popped up on my feed. Its a sad reminder of what he once was, much like how Jon and Tyrion in the last few seasons have had 0 importance and are shadows of what they once where even within the show.0 points

Apparently Weiss and Benioff are developing a Star Wars trilogy. And that could explain their hurry in completing this series, even when HBO was willing to give them more revenue to do more seasons.0 points
