  3. Is it just me or do these announcements always seem to be well timed to garner as much sympathy as possible and always at a time when they seem to be in the public eye for other negative reasons?? He has recently been getting a lot flack about his behind the scenes attitude and had a few official complaints put in about him and suddenly he comes out as gay?? I mean could his face have looked any more sad or needy.. could it??? Also Prince Harry has just decided to suddenly declare that he has been receiving 7 years worth of therapy relating to his mothers death, again coming at a time when they as a couple are getting a lot of negative flack for other reasons... maybe I am being a tad harsh or maybe it all just seems to be designed to manipulate a negative into some kind of positive to be getting the publics sympathy vote.. Well I ain't buying it...

  4. All owners are 'in it for the money' mate. We could do far far worse than FSG, even if they aren't perfect. I've said that from the very start of their reign. The merging of Kirkby and Melwood training facilities, bringing the first and youth players together at Klopps request abta cost of over £50m is another example of the good they've done for the club. As I say, not perfect, but certainly one of the better ownerships compared to some/most of the other big clubs in England. The American owners previous to FSG though.... different kettle of fish altogether.

  6. I'm not totally sold that Maddison could play that role. It's different playing there for Leicester when you've got Ndidi behind you but I could see that side having 5+ goals in every single game. We'd score loads and let in loads. At least one of Kane or Rashford will be rushed back and flop. I'm sure of it. I'm actually really quite stumped to be honest because of the holding midfielder situation. I'm nowhere near sold on Rice but I'm not sure we can afford to not play him either. I do feel like now you need a brilliant holding midfielder to achieve anything and we've not really got one. Some are saying Rice could be one but I'm not sold personally. He's hard to judge. As stated - playing in a fucking god awful side. Choudhury's your next best bet and I'm not totally confident with him there for us to be honest, so I'm not hugely keen. He's looking at Harvey Barnes for the squad apparently. I think it's too soon but he's finally starting to hit some form.

  7. Pickford will get the number one jersey for England and rightly so, at this stage. He’s been more than reliable for England and has had to deal with playing behind a back four that marked zones. Given time at Everton under Ancelotti, I think he’ll be fine and he’s right in what he said about the media being on your back as an England International. Sterling was the media scapegoat, everyone called them out for their closet racism and they eventually found Pickford as their next target. No doubt they’ll move on to someone else soon enough. That said, I’d be tempted to give Henderson a game in one of the two upcoming Friendlies. I know you should be starting to think about your starting XI for the Euros but there’s two games in four days next month and you’ve still got three games prior to the first group game.

  8. I am not one for films with subtitles and I am not sure if I have mentioned the film in here before to @nudge & @Tommy but this is one film I did watch again and I would give this a 9/10, a true story, 'As Far As My Feet Will Carry Me', a WWII film, I can understand a wee bit of german so it did help me out a bit.

  11. Don’t forget what the liverpook fans did to keep them honest. When they proposed all those posh tickets and your match going fans walked out and they shat it. They would love to be just making pure dough off (well more than they are) your fans but they know there is still a decent core who oppose the total Americanisation of Liverpool.

  12. This story (it's behind a paywall, so you might not be able to get to it) is pretty interesting. It's the story of how for 50 years nations have been paying a Swiss crypto company to protect it's secrets. But it was in fact a CIA & German Intelligence agencies front & they were collecting national secrets from other countries & stealing their money. https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2020/world/national-security/cia-crypto-encryption-machines-espionage/?utm_campaign=wp_post_most&utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter&wpisrc=nl_most

  13. My West Ham mates rave about Rice. But they're utter pony as a team, so it's hard to say. They're convinced he's heading to City though. Personally never been impressed. Dier was equally as good and had the same hype when he broke through as a defender playing DM...and look where he is now.

  16. For those of you that are friends with me on FB, you probably have seen (although I rarely post anything), but the wife and I have gotten a new Puppy to go with our 5 year old Black Lab. His name is Bear, and he's a Plott Hound puppy that is roughly 9 weeks old.
