I wouldn't wish it on anyone, just to be clear. He'll be fine, hopefully. He'll obviously get the highest of medical care like Prince Charles.4 points

Average age of cases in Germany: 45 years. Average age of cases in Italy: 63 years That might be one of the reasons. Another potential reason is that Germany's healthcare system is not overloaded yet so they have enough ICU beds, enough qualified staff and enough protective equipment for them. They are also testing in high numbers so many of those are bound to be mild cases that don't get tested in many other countries. Contact tracking and quarantine measures are apparently very thorough too. There are probably many factors that differ between countries. Overall, the mortality rate in Germany (approx. 0.4%) is similar to that in South Korea (approx. 1%) and Singapore (approx. 0.3%) so it's not as if t's a complete outlier.3 points

I dunno. Governance was never going to isolate and work from home using Microsoft Teams conference calling. No political leader in times of fear was going to deliver a press conference to the nation via webcam in their pyjama's. If emergency services carry on politicians will as well. It's part of the job. Rather than interpreting it as an example of some incompetence it should be an example of what happens when you carry on with life. If outbreak areas are anything to go by then this is going to spread among those who can't isolate. Key services. There's no choice there. Everyone else needs to lock away to give them a better chance.3 points

Germany are testing a lot more than other nations. I think I read they've recorded a lot more cases as they're testing more people with mild symptoms. In the UK for example, people are only getting tested when they need further treatment, so the deaths:cases ratio is worse than Germany. That said I think they are doing a better job of containing it as well as that.1 point

Because we receive more tourists than you, specially from Europe, and also we are one of the countries where people travel abroad the most, specially per capita, think with the dollar in it's highest ever price and with the covid there was still like 300.000 compatriots on vacation abroad, specially in Europe and US where there were a lot of infected people. In a normal year and with the economy doing normally something crazy like 10 million Argentines or more vacation abroad if i remember correctly, there's a lot of upper middle class people here who love going to Miami or Europe. And the deaths is probably because we have more old people and they went abroad, old wealthy folks go abroad a lot.1 point

Oh just the first full season with all races available that I could get my hands on. Didn't want to watch just random single races. Started this as a way to keep on enjoying racing Sundays with Dad during the quarantine.1 point

Got sent home 45 minutes earlier yesterday and 2 hours early today as our company try to keep people as far apart as possible, This way we don't get that huge crossover of staff between starting and going home all at the same time.. Glad of it today mind as I feel as rough as fuck..0 points

I' me hanging out ok, just crashed out on the sofa for about an hour or so that helped but this virus thing if it is that is like having the flu before I had my yearly flu jab and I got the flu it would knock me for six with symptoms just like this, headache, coughing, sweating, my body aching all over, lucky we have our son staying with us but he has hibernated into the bedroom so he does not come near me.0 points
