  1. Have you turned in to a tree @CaaC (John)?

  2. I'm back in South Spain again in 5 weeks for a week, but Toronto is on the cards(and Niagra Falls), either by the end of this year or very early next year. I'm going to work out when the best time will be and decent prices. Things I'm planning:- 1. Explore the fuck out of every part of the city as I always do in new places. 2. Do some fishing on one of the huge lakes, maybe for Bass since it's the main species to fish for among Canadians. 3. Do Niagra Falls. 4. Smoke shit loads of weed, it's legal, potent and cheap as chips there after all. 5. Maybe go to an Ice Hockey game. I know little about it but it would be a new experience. Obviously plenty of other things.

  3. "So the problem we have is guns right? Too many to regulate and too many fucked in the head cunts to wield them. You might think a gun buy back, a heavy tightening of restrictions and a few adjustments to laws around being found in possession of an illegal firearm are the ticket here, but you'd be wrong. We need to put GUNS ON OUR GUNS AND INTO THE GUN HANDS OF MORE SKETCHY GUN HOLDERS SO WHEN A KID WANTS TO SHOOT UP A SCHOOL HE'S GOT TO HAVE A GUNFIGHT FOR THE RIGHT TO DO SO LETS FUCKING CHANGE THE ENTIRE FABRIC OF OUR SOCIETY TO ADRESS THIS PROBLEM WHY THE FUCK NOT" Gun lobbyists. Every time. "if there had been a responsible gun owner there at the time they could have killed the miscreant" Funny how there never is though.

  4. I don’t think you can blame an analyst for Moyes, Van Gaal, Mourinho et al. They pass on info, but playing styles, personnel brought in etc has nothing to do with them. If the players are lazy, overpaid and have zero desire, there’s nothing you can do. We need at least 10 outs and ins. Young, hungry players. Not TOP NAMES, a decent scouting system picking up the next Andy Robertson, not the next Wan Bissaka. Dea Gea - Run down contract, look to replace Henderson - sell/loan Heaton - Backup Dalot - Backup AWB - Sell/Loan Shaw - Backup Maguire - Last chance, sell Varane - Last chance, sell Lindelof - Sell Tuanzabe - Sell Mengi - Keep/Loan Williams - Backup/Loan Pogba - Eat a bag of dicks Lingard - Eat a bag of dicks Mata - Release Periera - Sell Amad - Keep Fred - Keep Bruno - Keep Pellistri - Loan VDB - One year, then keep/sell Garner - Squad player McTominay - Squad player Mejbri - Keep Shoretire - Loan Greenwood - PRISON Sancho - Build the team off him Elanga - Loan (genuinely not good enough) Chong - Sell Garnacho - Keep Ronaldo - Keep Rashford - Sell What a fucking mess we’re in.

  5. Not just that, but people will pick holes in anything desperate to find an angle just so they can disagree. I saw an arguement on Talksport the other day saying how could Klopp win it when Liverpool were actually top of the table less days than Chelsea, Tottenham and Man Utd, and won two cup finals without winning the actual match. That's some serious clutching.

  6. I'll surprised Jurgen winning got a mixed reaction. There was over five candidates this year that were being discussed as potential winners and he was one of them. I think some people are so stubborn in there viewpoint that it clouds later judgement.

  7. As somebody that was all for the Ragnick overhaul when he was appointed I'm surprised that he's being kept on given that he's taken another role with the Austria national team. I know ten Hag is used to being a clog in a wheel without a defined style of play but having Ragnick enforce a footballing philosophy that's guided Manchester United to there worst Premier League finish ever whilst just seems like a question of when and not if that Manchester United tear up the script and start again. The fact Bruno Guimares slipped through the net is a real concern. It feels like Manchester United need to become the 'Dortmund before Dortmund' for a rebuild to phase out the ridiculously high paid players that have been there since Mourinho and are no where near the wages they get paid. Newcastle picking up Bruno suggests to me they've got there fingers on the pulse a lot quicker than United when it comes to that quality of young talent.

  8. You know every interview I have seen with this guy reminds me of how quiet he actually is vs how lit up he is on a pitch. I like him and I hope he closes his career with us. Good attitude, willing to bust a lung to get things done and doesn't engage in frivolous topics of discussion when quizzed by the media.

  10. The more I read of Ragnick, the more I hope he’s fucked off from this director role. Apparently he’s been leaving Paul Brand (head analyst) sitting twiddling his thumbs whilst receiving info from his lieutenant who we refused to bring in a while back. Kornetka has been on the phone to Ralf during games to give him live feedback. You know, watching on the television rather than actually fucking using the man in the position in the stadium to do it. I genuinely think he’s a bit of a snake oil salesman and we’ve been utterly fucking duped. We put in charge a bloke who hadn’t managed a team for ten years in charge of a bunch of mercenaries and expected what exactly? He clearly abandoned tactics 2 games in because we clearly don’t have the personnel. Whilst I admire the approach of throwing certain players under the bus, he’s never once analysed his own short comings in the man management department. Good riddance to a truly awful experiment.

  11. Who else was nominated? Millwall, Galatasaray and Lazio by any chance?

  12. It's both. So Pakistan have a rivalry with Macao, since both are Asian teams with no signifikant success on pitch and such little details don't matter? On a side note Germany is Central European:

  13. Netherlands and Austria are neighbours, though. Last time I checked England and Germany didn't share a border. The clubs you mentioned all come from the same city, so they are comparable to neighbouring countries. The Germany /England equivalent would be Liverpool and Tottenham.

  15. It's not really their budget though - some of it is going to go to investing in other areas of the club, rather than just transfer fees. And in any case, it's not like they could keep the information private. It's not a loan to the club, it's the main shareholder putting in that money in exchange for convertible series A shares in Spurs (additional issued shares of a different class of share to "ordinary shares" that can either be converted to ordinary shares or another class of shares). These series A shares probably have additional voting rights that ordinary shares don't have. You can see on here: https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/the-club/investor-relations/shareholder-information/ Tottenham are quite transparent about their ownership - ENIC owns 85.5% of the club, 14.5% are owned by others, probably a few percentage of the shares are owned by one or two banks or venture capital groups. This sort of capital injection for convertible shares would require shareholder approval & additional investment from investors needs to be reported and there's likely share dilution going on to keep the ownership ratios the same - so that information's going to be 1.) documented in shareholder meeting minutes that venture capital groups and banks will need to have listed (if you invest in a venture capital group that's got shares in Spurs, they'll be pretty keen to tell you one of their investments is getting other investors to put money in); 2.) be reported to relevant football authorities as a capital injection of cash from investors. Making an official statement is just good PR from Spurs. They've got a good record with being transparent and this keeps that up, it's good PR for fans who have been frustrated that billionaire owners didn't even put more money in while a new stadium was built and the first team stagnated even though they'd done something they'd never done in their history before - make it to the CL final. And the transparency is a good thing for other minority investors - it lets them know and trust they've made an investment the majority owners want to get a higher return on.

  16. How did this man simply walk into an elementary school with a firearm and rifle? Am I that ignorant to believe not all elementary schools have locking systems at all doors that only become unlocked by the front desk clerk? When ever I pick up my daughter the doors are locked and I have to page in for them to unlock.

  17. Came back from a 5 day trip to Northern Germany today. Stayed in Cuxhaven for 5 days, which is a coastal town and the northernmost point of the state of Lower Saxony. I liked it a lot better than the usual town I stay in when I visit northern Germany. Some impressions. This ship was built in 1904. It has quite a history. It was re-discovered in Sweden in 1979, and brought to Hamburg for repairs. But it was determined that it would be too expensive to restore it, so they gifted it to the town of Cuxhaven. Lotsenviertel in Cuxhaven. Very hipster-ish, but pretty. Ritzebüttel Castle in Cuxhaven. "Swiss House" in the Castle's park. Built in 1847 as a tea house. And then on my way back to Düsseldorf, I visited Bremen for 2-3 hours. Never been there before, so I wanted to take a look. A very old phonebooth now a plant house. Schnoor-Viertel. The oldest part of Bremen. And of course, the Westerstadion. Home of Werder Bremen.

  18. Mate he’s been the manager of Ajax this season, he will not have done enough research to fully know the capabilities of the players and who will be of use to him. Plus he’s not going to alienate the entire squad by saying yeah I know who’s getting the boot.
