He had Spurs in a Champions League final and amongst continuous top 4 finishes whilst competing on a much lower budget and their rivals and moving stadiums they also finished runners up. They basically can’t create a chance. At all. Couple that with their shaky midfield and disjointedness in possession, and it does kind of make the tactical approach obvious for Mourinho and Spurs: sit back, let them frustrate themselves in their efforts to attack, let Kane and Son pounce on the inevitable mistakes.
