Haha seeing Brentford's name in a Premier League match day thread, weird world.

Not sure specifically how we will line up for this, though I expect us to look something like this:

Mbeumo - Toney

Janelt - Norgaard - Onyeka

Henry - Pinnock - Jansson - Ajer - Roerslev

Raya

Contrary to popular belief we will try and attack the game and take hold of possession for as long as we can. Expect Toney to try and cause havoc amongst the Arsenal centre back's and generally just be all over the pitch whilst Mbeumo will try and run in behind. Henry and Roerslev will both intend to push high up the pitch to stretch the game, aiming to get crosses in too.

Expect to be impressed by Janelt as he plays some very neat passes, but also defensively strong and made from titanium. Norgaard is obviously a defensive mid but he will be trying to play passes in behind the Arsenal defence. Onyeka will act more as a box to box midfielder, much like Janelt will, and both will try to provide industry to break down the Arsenal midfield.

I would anticipate Arsenal will try and attack us down our weakest side which is our right handside. Honestly I half expect both sides to give away a silly goal from a stray pass, and at some point Raya's height will haunt him this season, but overall his shot stopping and ball playing abilities will weigh out those overly loud negatives to his game.

Feel like this might end up as a score draw that we can take a lot of positives from.

Quite interested to see how Brentford do. I have them around 16th I think, but wouldn't be particularly surprised if they finished anywhere between 10th-20th, just think it's quite hard to judge how they'll do.

1-1 draw in this one I think.

No Laca or Auba for Arsenal, probably do them a favour tbh

Not sure about that. Having one is good, losing both leaves them with little firepower up front.

Also frees up the front line to be a bit more youthful which is always helpful for a side with a stale attacking output

Not sure what's going on with Auba & Laca. Hope it's not Arteta once again starting the season by falling out with a couple of players. I am looking forward to seeing what Balogun can do though. Especially with Pepe, Smith-Rowe, and Martinelli behind him. A couple of starters in Gabriel and Partey out, but it will be interesting to see how new signings Lokonga and Ben White do.

Even as someone who expects us to finish either 7th, 8th, or 9th, it's still difficult not to get excited for the first game of the season.

Who's that leading the Arsenal line?

Highly rated youngster. Has done well when played in the Europa League. Has a much better all round game than Nketiah and a lot of people have wanted to see him get a proper chance in the league. Will be a big test for him.

Taken just 15 minutes to remember why fans in the ground is shite.

"You're support is shit" and "Shall we sing a song for you" chants. Absolute cringe.

The Brentford fans deserve that. Imagine having their first season in the Premier League and not being able to witness that goal going in.
