Moderator Tommy Posted August 29, 2021 Moderator Share Posted August 29, 2021 Performance-wise I'd say Shutter Island. I like almost all of his movies though. Hard to pick a favourite. The Aviator was great, The Departed, Inception. Hard to pick one. Catch me if you Can was great too.

Danny
My favourite film of his is The Departed. Worst film is Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. Outside of one or two films it does often feel like he plays a version of himself, so whilst he's generally phenomenal in everything he does, it can be hard to pick one over the other as performance-wise it can feel similar. Rick
I absolutely love him in The Revenant, it’s a spectacular film. His performances in Shutter Island, The Departed & The Wolf Of Wall Street were brilliant as well.
Subscriber nudge+ Posted August 29, 2021 Subscriber Share Posted August 29, 2021 Blood Diamond and What's Eating Gilbert Grape.
Moderator Tommy Posted August 29, 2021 Moderator Share Posted August 29, 2021 Ah, Blood Diamond is another gem of course. First watched that in a cinema in the UK when it came out. Probably watched it around 10ish more times since then. Love his accent in that movie.
Devil-Dick Willie
My favorites are blood diamond, the departed and Django unchained. Roles where he was poor would be the man in the iron mask, Titanic. I hated the wolf of wall street, but he was fine in it.

In no order: •Blood diamond •Departed •Inception •Once upon a wolf on wall street •The Aviator •Shutter island •What’s eating Gilbert grape

Subscriber Viva la FCB+ Posted August 30, 2021 Subscriber Share Posted August 30, 2021 Inception is probably still my favourite hes been in. Think Tommys bang on though Shutter Island is fantastic; helped all the way along by that performance. Blood Diamond was probably next for me. Eco
Mind you, I haven't seen them all....but the ones I have, I'd ranked... 1. Wolf on Wall Street 2. Inception (even though he is a bit outshined by Tom Hardy) 3. The Departed 4. Romeo + Juliet

Yea, Leo's emotion range in the scenes with his wife alone. Hardy's character never had any deep scenes. He was cool as fuck, but that's about it.
