I wonder if people will still pretend Liverpool are having a better season than us.

Sshh, don't let facts get in the way of the hive mind and its narrative.

Ps. Talk about Liverpool’s defence fine but Jordan Henderson is absolute shite.

I was thinking watching a recent game Henderson looks gash but didn't say anything because I don't watch him enough to really judge. I used to be annoyed at how decent he was for them when he first joined, wonder what's happened.

When Mane, Lallana and co are all fit together Liverpool will go on enough of a goalscoring rampage to easily finish 5th or 6th plus they've still got the 6 free points to come from us before the season's over. I think top four is out of the question though, where would that leave Klopp?

He was good in that Rodgers side that went close where Gerrard was deep and providing the creativity. He could just stick to the basics and provide the energy in midfield as well as covering the full backs. Been crap since then though when the onus is on him to create. He just doesn't have that ability.

I love it how people bash us for thinking we’re having a good season when in actual fact none of us think we are having a good season xD

Our defence is undermining everything we are capable of and the managers system isn’t helping things at all.

So no, we are far from having a good season.

I don't know, I don't know many, if any, who expected us to retain a top four spot before the season started. In terms of the decision makers, their plan doesn't revolve around Champions League qualification, just the odd season in it is sufficient, so he'd probably be fine

Don't think it's that. It's just become fashionable to bash Arsenal for every poor result, act like they're in crisis and constantly speculate about Wengers future while Klopp gets next to no shit from the media or neutral fans. For example, the Twitter and LADBible hive mind were all over laughing at Arsenal when you lot tonked them 4-0 and there was that fake quote from the Ox about "we won 4-0 last week against Arsenal". Much less attention on Chamberlain's poor start for Liverpool.

People can talk about the tactical issues with how Klopp plays but the bigger issue is by far is his trust in Liverpools many average or unreliable players.

I think he was probably expecting that he could do what he did with the likes of Grosskreutz, Kirch and Schmelzer and get not very remarkable players to work well as parts of a world class team. I think he thought that, with time, the team would build the kind of synergy that would allow them to overcome the clear lack of quality of players like Mignolet, Henderson, Milner and Lovren.

Now he must realise that this squad isn't going to achieve anything with the kind of gradual fine-tuning he had in mind. If he's brutal and freezes out Lovren, that could be a first step on him weeding out the clear weak links.

Houses made of cards tend to come tumbling down mate because although they look wonderful looking at them from one perspective, look at them from another and the story is a whole different one.

The Oxlade-Chamberlain deal in my view was a chance move and both the player and club agreed. Where as we’ve got two players worth potentially a lot more on their final year’s contract and probably going for free or pittance in January.

But yeah... We saved something on that one.

Of course the Özil and Alexis situation is a disaster for us, but as you said cashing in on such an average player for so much was a big win.

In all honesty, Do you think wenger and Board think that they will change the minds of Ozil and Sanchez, its a very strange situation, when you think in the past how Arsenal do business, to let the 2 big marquee players possibly leave on a free is just unthinkable to these groups of people.  Even not to do what they did with Henry and Fabregas, they both signed deals but got sold a year after so they got the going rate, Sanchez in todays market at full market value is worth over £100 million and Ozil is probably worth around the same or a bit more Arsenal paid for him.  It is just suicidal from the club.

It would indeed be very unusual to see THIS Arsenal board lose that amount of money.  In my view the club are going to offer them stupid amounts of money (wages) and see if that solves the issue at least for the short term by making them sign new contracts and probably promoting them that if certain clubs come in for them they'll listen in the future.

You could put the best 2 central defenders in the world into this system and they’d still be exposed. It’s flawed. We are absolutely wide open on the flanks leaving Kane acres and acres of room everytime they attack.

Shit tactics.

Maybe but so many of the games we concede in its via a free kick or corner.

The attacking system we play should be independent of that, and is definitely an area we should be able to improve.

Its worrying the lack of quality in Englands midfield,   and it looks like Wilshere is the only creative player they have.  Take Dele Ali away  there is not much there at all.  Henderson is very poor, Drinkwater is poor, Livermore is poor.

Harry Winks.

Saw that goal coming before the ball was in the box. Mignolet should have been upgraded in the summer. Can be excellent but not consistent enough and that was an embarrassment for a Premier League goalkeeper. Liverpool fans seem to rate Matip so they know better than me but looks to me like he's only good compared to Lovren.

Yeah. Matip is currently the least of the major defensive concerns but ideally even he wouldn't be a first choice defender for us.

Absolutely unequivocally need 2 CBs and GK as soon as possible.

It probably wont Happen, Klopp is turning into Wenger or already is similar, this thing about playing a certain style and not changing his ways, it just doesn't get you anywhere without a strong spine through the team.

How long does Klopp need, he has spent alot of money and still same problems.

I'll give him another crack to get the defence sorted. If VVD had come off we may have been better.

He has spent a lot of money already over 200 million if you count Keita, the way things are with football how long can you give him and how much more money can Liverpool go on spending.

To be honest the only signing there that's been a complete failure has been Karius. Klavan is somewhat of a failure but only because he's been elevated up the pecking order by the freezing out of Sakho. If he was to be the 4th or 5th choice CB he's about what we paid for.

Big pain points for me is giving both Migs and Karius another year,  not going on for someone other than VVD and letting Sakho leave anyway...
