Guest Cannabis Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 Thoughts with James, happened right in front of me and looked horrendous.
Honey Honey Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 Fuck me, what happened? Bad tackle or accidental?

Heard a snap from where I was sitting and saw his leg flopped over, I thought it was a broken ankle but the club have confirmed it's a double leg break. I remember shawcross in tears when he did that tackle on Ramsey
UNORTHODOX Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 I saw the the incident before, Looked absolutely horrific. You could see Coleman leave his seat and go to the dressing to check on him.
Bluewolf Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 Fuck that's horrendous... Rondon was about to shoot and McCarthy came in for the tackle... I've spoilered the pictures for the squeamish - Cannabis
Bluewolf Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 Got to feel for both of them there.... Complete freak accident
Berserker Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 Damn, such an unfortunate incident. Hope he makes a full recover.
Eco Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 They were talking about this incident here in the U.S. Absolutely freak accident that is really just a tragedy for both player and offender. Hope that he can one day play professional football again.
Administrator Stan Posted January 20, 2018 Administrator Posted January 20, 2018 Very unfortunate, for sure. One of those where it's all innocent and no-one to blame. Rondon must have felt distraught. Hope McCarthy makes a full recovery.
SirBalon Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 Terrible! But players have had double breaks before and come back like David Villa did. Let’s just hope for the best!
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted January 20, 2018 Subscriber Posted January 20, 2018 Oviedo, Coleman and McCarthy in the space of two years(?) Such shite though. Can't believe it happens to a player who's had completely unrelated injury problems for 2-3 years then finally gets fit and gets done in by a freak accident.
Rick Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 Hopefully the lad recovers fully. Absolutely terrible. Feel for Rondon and all.
Administrator Batard Posted January 21, 2018 Administrator Posted January 21, 2018 Such a horrendous and unlucky injury. Sympathies to both players, Rondon was devastated
Danny Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 There's no real positives when this happens but at least it was because of a freak accident and not reckless old school English football challenge that caused it. We lost Alan Judge to one at Ipswich and other than that, I've not seen too many of those in recent years? Especially not in the Prem, feel like the last one was Ramsey? And Eduardo before him.

Nolan's tackle on Anichebe a few years ago. Probably one of the worst ever.

Danny Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 Just now, Stan said: more recent than those 2 though. yeah I forgot football I watched when I was 15-20 was not a season or two ago
Pig on the Wing Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 Horrible stuff all round. Hopefully though, as it's 'only' (careful with my intent here) a leg break, he'll be back playing at the top level. It's the knee injuries that end careers. (I snapped my ACL last year and I can confirm: my professional football career is over.)
Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted January 22, 2018 Subscriber Posted January 22, 2018 Saw the highlights this morning as I was out all weekend and god that looks horrible. I hope the boy recovers and gets back to playing football.
