Cicero Posted March 1, 2022 Posted March 1, 2022 Looking back, this was a fantastic period. Lot of media/public criticism that this rivalry was toxic (Mourinho vs Pep), but I genuinely loved, and I mean loved this Barca v Real era. 1 Quote
Administrator Stan Posted March 15, 2022 Administrator Posted March 15, 2022 'Spotify Camp Nou'. Ugh. Quote
Subscriber Pyfish+ Posted March 16, 2022 Subscriber Posted March 16, 2022 One of those where nobody will call it Spotify Camp Nou, it'll still be referred to as Camp Nou/Nou Camp by most. I wonder if there will be any Spotify exclusive podcasts etc as part of the deal? Wouldn't surprise me if there was live match commentary or something on the platform in the near future. Quote
Carnivore Chris Posted April 6, 2022 Posted April 6, 2022 Araújo set to sign a deal until 2026. Massive news! @SirBalon Quote
Administrator Stan Posted April 6, 2022 Administrator Posted April 6, 2022 It seems like Barcelona are getting their act together again. So many quality young talents playing in form and gives hope to the future. Xavi is doing a grand job to begin with... Quote

Massive news! @SirBalon Yeah, I was just DMing Sid Lowe on Twitter about it. Better said, hounding him until he answers me. There were already rumours yesterday that an agreement had been reached. It is indeed great news because he really is a genuine centre back with no messing around. Now it’s time to get Gavi to sign his extension next. Quote

ScoRoss Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 Barcelona members have voted in favour of selling off 49% of their licensing and merchandising, and 25% of their television rights. Another summer, another firesale. Quote
ScoRoss Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 Madness. All this for probably just a few seasons spending money for them. A decade of negligence, and they are going to be paying for it for decades to come. Quote
ScoRoss Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 Selling off their future, so they can buy a soon to be 34 year old striker. And probably selling off a bunch of young players, as well, to do so. Have seen this before, and they still haven't learnt. Quote

Administrator Stan Posted June 18, 2022 Administrator Posted June 18, 2022 2 hours ago, Spike said: It's no worse than any other named stadium. Do you say King Power Stadium, or Leicester City Stadium? Maybe because Camp Nou is synonymous as that name being used for Barca's stadium. For several decades. It's just a bit different from what it's always known as. Never even called it the Leicester City stadium so perhaps not the best example. It's been Filbert Street, Walkers Stadium or King Power Stadium. Quote
ScoRoss Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 By the time this deal runs out, Robert Lewandowski will be approaching 60... Crazy short term thinking here. Quote

If Everton rebranded to Spotify Goodison Park, I don't think anyone would really refer to it as such (apart from the media for legal reasons). Quote
