It would've been a unique final for me with Arsenal and Olympique but it wasn't to be. Wenger meeting one of his deadliest rivals from back in the day when he was the head coach at AS Monaco... Sort of built for Arsene Wenger.

Anyhow... Should be a brilliant game if Atleti don't score early.

Good final, think Atletico are heavy favorites in this one. Like SirBalon said if there is no early goal by Atletico should be a cracker. Personally would prefer Marseille to win it.

Early goal from Atletico to seal the final 1-0. Effective football will prevail again.

Griezmann to score the goal, French players love scoring in this match. Pogba did it last year

So, if you were watching a porn movie you'd get your kicks from watching the guy finish the job early and then have 30 minute's worth of conversation designed to turn you on but without a climax at the end?!?  O.o

How did I come out with that analogy. xD

Its more than just a 1-0 result...iF diego s. was to win it
, his record would be 31-5-3, now tell me how less possession or fewer goals make that almost perfect record any less impressive. Effective well balanced both offensively and defensively football with cajones!

Please answer this simple question for me Antonio

. . how long ago has it been since pep and his amazing beautiful football made it to the CLs semis?

Without a doubt it's a lot more difficult to win things playing entertaining attacking football. I would expect everyone knows this which is why when it's achieved its given a lot more coverage and great reviews.

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has received a four-match Uefa ban and will be absent from the touchline when his side face Marseille in the Europa League final on 16 May.

Simeone was found guilty of insulting a match official during the first leg of Atletico's semi-final at Arsenal.

The 48-year-old was sent to the stands after Sime Vrsaljko's early red card.

He served the first match of his suspension as Atletico completed a 2-1aggregate win on Thursday.

see.      in uefa for merely insulting an official you'll get that sort of punishment.     but on england ........... nevermind haha.

so this will be another all Madrid Finals except they're not playing against each other.

i'll root for Marsielle on this one.   I have a friend who always pronounce it as MAR-SI-LE.

UEFA has dismissed Atletico Madrid's appeal against a touchline ban imposed on their boss Diego Simeone for the Europa League final.

The ban is ridiculous. You can’t question the referees and yet all those that have never played the game are the ones that make and implement the rules.

Isn't that the case in every sport ?

It's the same when it comes to all walks of life. Look at health and safety on building sites, none of them have ever even worked on one then tell people how they should and shouldn't do their job.

Nice sweeping generalisation there xD

The ban is extended in other sports too?

Simeone was banned for the sending off and that's where it should end.

It's for insulting an official rather than simply questioning an official but I agree that 4 games is harsh. I'm sure Atletico's bus will work fine without him though, not as if they do anything complex. "Effective football" as Teso calls it.

Atlético are the superior team, but with the final being in France and Marseille being decent, I can see this game going to ET.

2-1

Come on Marseille, would love to see then beat Atletico. Atletico used to be my 'favourite' Spanish side, but in recent years under that cunt Simeone, they've become truly awful to watch and root for.

for the benefit of the game, Marseille need to score first.

If Atletico do, it'll be a borefest and Marseille will find it even more difficult to break Atletico down.
