The Artful Dodger Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 Doubt Barcelona will admit they've made such a stupid mistake within a year, but he'll leave sooner or later.

Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted January 7, 2019 Subscriber Posted January 7, 2019 Philippe Coutinho to Man Utd: Spanish expert with update on Barcelona transfer links PHILIPPE COUTINHO will NOT be moving to Manchester United, according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague. Barcelona star Coutinho had been linked with a switch to Old Trafford having struggled since a £142million move from Liverpool a year ago. However, Balague insists there is no chance of a deal happening and believes the Brazilian will stay at the Nou Camp and try and improve his form. https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1068513/Philippe-Coutinho-Man-Utd-Barcelona-transfer-rumours-gossip
Bluewolf Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 Was reading an article the other day that where it was felt that he has not really matched up to their expectations, for such a huge outlay you would really want some decent return...

The Artful Dodger Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 Is Coutinho a bigger flop than Morata, given the fee?

Cicero Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 United should focus on getting rid of their dead weight first instead of giving them new contracts.

Dr. Gonzo Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 Coutinho's a dickhead, so I could see this happening
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted January 7, 2019 Subscriber Posted January 7, 2019 If there's one thing United need right now, it's more attacking players costing them astronomical fees and wages, that only perform well in certain sets of circumstances, right?

I like the sound of that. But maybe have them sign League Two level players on those same astronomical fees and wages.
Harry Posted January 8, 2019 Posted January 8, 2019 In both cases I blame the clubs not the players. They overpaid hugely in both cases.
Redcanuck Posted January 8, 2019 Posted January 8, 2019 Coutinho was a great player at Liverpool, But the money Barcelona would want should be spent on a top CB or two.

Coutinho has actually shown moments of class at Barcelona. Morata just has a highlight reel of gaffs, he could make his own DVD.
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted January 8, 2019 Subscriber Posted January 8, 2019 Morata has surely been a bigger flop than Coutinho, though the money they paid Liverpool for him was ridiculous.
