I have to agree... seems an over the top decision for me, A warning for his behaviour on court would have been sufficient... clearly not intentional and he rushed to her aid when he realised what happened and apologised... Moderator Tommy Posted September 7, 2020 Moderator Share Posted September 7, 2020 It's not the first time he hit the ball close to people out of frustration, and he has been warned that he could eventually hit someone several times before. Saw a clip of an interview - albeit a few years ago - where he was questioned about his frustrations and how close he could be to hitting someone, maybe a spectator. He got ultra-defensive and did not like it at all.
Subscriber Pyfish+ Posted September 7, 2020 Subscriber Share Posted September 7, 2020 Correct call. It's no different to a player in football getting frustrated and kicking the ball at someone.

Eco
Crazy when Zverev does this...lost the first two sets bad, and has now won two sets, and has already broke Busta in the 5th set. C'mon AZ!!

Eco
Can't believe this is Zverev's first ever major final, and it's going to be a massive event as he'll either play Thiem or Medvedev

Administrator Stan Posted October 11, 2020 Administrator Share Posted October 11, 2020 I very much enjoyed that. Not cos I proper love Nadal but because seeing Djokovic get annihilated after his recent antics was bliss.
Subscriber JoshBRFC+ Posted February 21, 2021 Subscriber Share Posted February 21, 2021 Aus Open title number 9 for Djokovic. The dominance from these 3 in the same era is still absolutely crazy.
Machado
Dang. That's one step closer to Federer losing the GM record, and Medveded is the one player I have time for these days, so that's a double dang.
