Romelu Lukaku - Signs For Inter

Perisic plus cash for Lukaku to Inter

Inter are ready to offer Ivan Perisic plus €20-30m in exchange for Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku, according to Italian reports.

Their pursuit of Lukaku is no secret, especially with Antonio Conte agreeing terms to replace Coach Luciano Spalletti at San Siro next season.

A new striker is required, as Mauro Icardi is on the market following months of in-fighting and the fans turning against him.

According to FCInterNews.it, agent Federico Pastorello is working on mediating a deal between the two clubs that would suit everyone.

This is represented by Perisic plus €20-30m in cash, meeting the valuation of Belgium international Lukaku at €60-70m.

Perisic had pushed hard for a January move to Arsenal, but was convinced to remain with the promise he could go to England at the end of the season.

Manchester United had tried to purchase Perisic in the past and are still on the look-out for wingers.

As for Lukaku, he is discussing a five-year contract with Inter worth €7.5m per year plus bonuses.

The 2010 Treble winners have slightly more leeway now, as last week they were officially released from the FFP Settlement Agreement with UEFA.

He's a donkey, so that'd be good business from United in getting rid of him while keeping the losses down.

Might be a good bit of business for Inter as well. Perisic wants to go to England, Lukaku is a big, powerful striker that seems to suit Serie A more than it does the EPL.

He's a bit of a flat track bully, tbh. He'd probably be a top top striker if his first touch was better, but instead he's got a terrible first touch it's like a brick wall. Weirdly enough, he's got a beautiful cross on him. A bit baffling tbh.

Obviously he's not shit, because he's still got a decent record in our league - which is more than a lot of strikers can say. And obviously, the leagues are all different so he might be better suited to Serie A.

If it means Wanda Icardi is out of Milan, I'll take Peter Crouch ffs.

Perisic is shit.

He will become so if he leaves Inter and goes Utd.

Perisic is a weird one because United are apparently dead set on him being their guy, when there's really no particular reason for him to be screaming out as a top top option.

Like yeah, he's a relatively effective forward available at a reasonable price, who's played at some good clubs. But he's not a world class player, and he's fairly old, so it's odd that a club of United's means are interested.

Romelu Akinfenwa.

Another shite under performer for United. Too much focus on bulking up by the looks of things.

Lukaku is a good striker and will probably do well for Inter, just not what United need in a striker to win them major silverware

Best of luck Lukaku if true but fuck off Perišić if true, the guy is bloody 30 years old and would not last a season in the EPL with United.

Can't see this one panning out tbh. But I hope it does.

Wanted to see Perisic in the premier league for the past 3 seasons now. He's rubbish at Inter, but at the World Cup last year he was absolutely outstanding. He's a hard working winger that has to be pushed with good players round him... With Utd in this form he'll be rubbish there tbh. Also lukaku in Seria A would be nice to watch, then the icardi situation would mean he'd be gone 100%.

That guy would end up like another 30 bloody-year-old United bought, Henrikh Mkhitaryan who started off ok then was shite after, that's why he was shunted off to the gunners, Perisic would just be another wasted 30 years old has been.

If Inter are serious about this then here's a suggestion for them  Sign Sane (the big, old version) from us and that would give both donkeys/elephants a chance to look good against each other's lack of pace, ability or vision and bring back the 'just kick it anywhere'  form of attack/defence/anything which is missing from the game at the moment - unless they want Burgstaller as well and that would be something!

Can only see this coming to fruition if Icardi leaves. Icardi and Martinez are both superior players to Lukaku so it's baffling why they are after him.

Lukaku should be up there with Kane and Aubameyang but then he met Paul Pogba. Even if Perisic is 30, getting him and money for Lukaku seems the wrong way round.
