Some selfish bastard has probably already killed all the sheep and has them frozen for the next year mate.4 points

Have to agree with Stan on this one, We could never implement this with any success... It will be chaos and badly managed by our Government... They can't even keep track of prisoners on day release with ankle monitors how would they control this idea??? You would just get the same old shit being trotted out after the virus gets worse and more people die because of poor controls.. after it's all calmed down they will launch a big expensive Government enquiry about what went wrong which will take at least 2 years only for them to come out and say "Lessons need to be learned"4 points

People need to work in order to feed their families though. You can make office workers work from home; industries that mostly rely on manual work have no such option. Not to mention that without thousands of people doing their daily work the society couldn't function and would eventually collapse. The whole food production and supply chain, waste collection & management, power networks and supply, water supply and sanitation, telecommunications, and so on and on and on. It's incredibly naive to think that most people can afford to just stay at home and everything will be fine.3 points

Is it just me or does @Batard seem to be having an excessively long lunch break??? That's the trouble with working from home, no control of the employee, if they say they are doing the work you just have to believe them..2 points

Yeah, it could easily get out of hand if situation worsens. I can also see the divorce rates going through the roof now that families are forced to spend most of the time together in confined spaces2 points

Where I am from (the south), we dont even take cows really that serious and its urine is way far off to even consider lol. This whole cow worship is mainly in some of the northern parts of India is what I feel, especially in and around the states of UP, Rajasthan, Delhi, Bihar etc. Im not even sure if its that big in Gujarat where Modi is from.2 points

Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019) Wow, well, that was a journey. Loved all the throw-backs to the old Star Wars franchise, even the prequels. I enjoyed it. 8/10, I don't care what anyone else thinks.1 point

So that'll last about half an hour? Not gonna lie but it looks like piss from a dehydrated tramp1 point

I imagine it’ll be back online soon but due to stock and those who need it the most they’ve decided to extend opening hours with the first hour of each day only available to those holding a seniors or health care Card. I predict home delivery and click and collect will be back soon but maybe for certain groups of people etc.1 point

Idk if this is a dumb question, but has the UK government actually done anything? I mean this seriously, I'm struggling to think. Like, beyond giving "advice" and "warnings", have they actually implemented any measures in response to the crisis?1 point

Was going to watch it on Amazon but they are trying to rob me so will take my business elsewhere....1 point

Not to the enforcement side yet mate. No police on streets enforcing people to go home or get off the streets. May see that distance thing in next few days after Johnson's announcement today stating to stay at home where possible and avoid social contact.1 point

Not sure as I haven't really been out since going on leave for the past couple of days. However, after today's announcement and going back to work tomorrow, it'll be interesting to see how it goes. I need to nip out at some point to get Mother's Day stuff as well.1 point

Lewis is too woke to get coronavirus. Idris eats too much meat and probably doesn't wash his hands because he doesn't understand how #blessed he is to be alive. Still we rise.1 point

That's a point. Fuck toilet rolls(you can use your sink as a bidet...) and fuck food(I live about 1.5 mile from the country, I will kill sheep or something), I think it's time I bought a kilo of weed just in case!1 point

I posted this earlier. Like I said, this was all a big scheme by Trump. Let Coronavirus into the USA so that Mexico can close the border and finally pay Trump for his wall1 point

This is far too complex for the UK to implement because we're all so fucking stupid over here. Firstly, we'd have texts sent to the wrong people, causing people to go in to a frenzy for no reason. Secondly, the checkpoints will be announced but no staff will be there to give out the notices. Thirdly, the random phone calls/house visits will be at stupid o'clock as opposed to times when people are likely to be out i.e. the day. Fourthly, you'd get people taking several photos of their houses way before going out so that when they get a phone call, they'll send the photos already taken.1 point

It's painful that the intersection between people who are stupid enough to think they won't be able to go shopping for the rest of their lives for some reason, and selfish enough to respond by buying everything themselves and fuck everyone else, is so large.1 point

There is a special place in Hell for companies that increased their products price during the pandemic. More than obvious that many people struggle with just getting the essential food to the table, don't make it harder for them.1 point

Yeah as it relies on people's conscientiousness, responsibility and willingness to cooperate - apparently there are many lacking even the very basic understanding of it haha. Frankly it's one of the reasons why the whole country has been placed under quarantine as it enables the authorities to punish those who don't comply hoping that it will deter the others from doing the same.1 point

Netflix, by far. I use it more and it's my go-to if I want to look for something new. Not to say I ignore Amazon Prime otherwise I'd just cancel my subscription but I find there's more on my Netflix list to watch than my Prime list. Some of the programmes/content made exclusively for Netflix is superb. I must admit though one of the reasons I'm keeping my Amazon Prime subscription is for when they start regularly streaming football as that's the way it seems to be going. I think my brother & sister-in-law use Netflix more than me though but I find if we're struggling for something to watch on TV there's more options to delve in to something on Netflix.1 point

It will be the same all over the place either because they don't actually know the true numbers due to not having the resource to check everyone or that they are worried that releasing the actual numbers will just increase the panic... Just got off the phone to my mate who's mum works at St Helier hospital who said that they have treated over 200 people that have it so far but the actual reported was just 6 In a lot of respects I can understand not wanting to let everyone know the true scale of the problem because of what is going on now on the streets and people will panic, it's in their nature to fear the unknown but this is also exacerbated by lack of information from the Government or worse their total lack of resources to deal with the situation, The NHS is already badly underfunded as it is over here and adding thousands more people needing treatment in such a short space of time is just a recipe for disaster.. I am pretty sure this has been the pattern all over the world1 point

I've heard countless stories of people here who are at home with severe symptoms who cannot get tested. At this point I just assume the number of infected is many times higher than the official government numbers.1 point

Only one thing is certain, at the first modern pandemic we failed as an society. People buying far more supplies than they need with little to zero concern about others. Our "leaders" failed to stop the spread because they cared very little.1 point

Hi guys. Apologies for the Mafia War exit. Sadly, my mum passed away about an hour ago after a long fight with cancer. Might seem mad that someone would be on a forum just an hour later, but a lot of you are like a second family after 13 years. I’ll survive and I’ll be back sooner than you think. Take care X1 point

Much worse He regularly narrates me the whole detailed plot of pretty much every series he follows and gives regular updates on the new episodes. Have to admire his dedication. Even has a cool notebook where he keeps notes on his progress watching every show and what not He's a bloody pro I tell you; much better at streaming/downloading/finding stuff online at 78 years of age than most of the people in their 30s1 point

Trust me, I'm an amateur compared to him Can't even recommend him anything or choose a movie to watch together because he's bloody seen them all!1 point
