The destruction in Syria is not just down to Russia but... Russia is responsible for a lot of the destruction there. The total war style tactics used in Syria were brutal, even compared to normal modern warfare which is inherently brutal. The longer this war goes on, the more dark it will get. Russia's shown domestically in Chechnya and abroad in Syria that they don't care if they have to completely destroy cities in order to achieve their military goals. The Azov Regiment defending Mariupol are now saying Russia's used chemical weapons. It's hard to really believe that as the Azov Regiment are, unfortunately, neo-Nazi dickheads and they're making this claim of a red line being crossed while there are no reporters left in the besieged city to verify the claims. So that could just be a group of unscrupulous Nazis trying to pull NATO into the war. But it's definitely concerning that the man in charge of Syria is now in charge of Ukraine. He does not give a shit about civilian deaths, collateral damage, or war crimes.1 point

Tbh that says something about him, but also the sides he's been in - because no individual can just guarantee making it to the finals. But he's been a part of Chelsea's incredibly good youth sides, a Derby side that probably should have won promotion, and some first team Chelsea sides - other than Derby, I sort of would expect Chelsea (especially their youth teams because you've got one of the best academies in Europe, let alone England) sides to be pretty strong. Again, I don't think he's a bad player. Far from it, he's a good player and there's obviously something very special about him and the way he carries himself despite being so young, I just think he's a bit overrated (and that's probably because he came through at Chelsea while Lampard was manager so there were a lot of lazy Lampard comparisons... and comparing a kid to a legend like Lampard like that is ultimately going to make people watch him and expect him to be like prime Lampard, which I think is unfair on him). And I know that's unfair on him, he's still a young player developing and I think Chelsea are right to stick with him as a key player because, as you say, he's got the right attitude you need to be a top level player. And he's got the talent, so time is on his side especially with an attitude like that.1 point

Some much heated debate between Chelsea fans regarding Mount vs Gallagher. Some saying one should start over the other and some being incredibly disrespectful and critical towards other's opinions instead of being grateful we have two club products who could essentially provide us a Lampard vs Gerrard situation. Hoping both somehow can player together.1 point

Degea for me been united best player by some distance. Ralf had a reputation for pressing football. They couldn't press a shirt ... . To me that's down to the players not him and a reason they need shipping out ASAP. They should be buzzing to be at at team like united size or club and everything.1 point

I think current Ronaldo could probably still get a good amount of goals in the current City side. They're full of creators and he's a good person to have on the end of chances. But I don't think he'd play as much as he'd like - I think in some matches, Pep would prefer having 10 outfield players that can press and Ronaldo's not the kind of player you'd want pressing hard for 90 minutes at his current age. I don't think he'd do well with us in his current state. Being able to press high up the pitch for 90 minutes is sort of the minimum expected requirement of our front 3. I'd take Bruno Fernandes, at least as a squad player, though. I think he's the one player that could actually fit in pretty well with our side. Everyone else, I wouldn't even consider. Especially not Pogba, he's got the completely wrong attitude for any side that's hoping to go toe to toe with an opponent like City. De Gea's not a bad keeper, but in 2022 I think anyone takes Alisson over him without even thinking about it. So that's maybe Goldbridge's funniest shout.1 point

Fair for being able to listen to him. I find him one of the biggest 🛎 out there and don't care how important he thinks he is because he got a "big following" Contradicts himself massively too week in week out1 point

Watching the video, to me it looks like it was some sort of a "dare" from his "friends", especially seeing the obvious stupid teenage giggly laugh afterwards. Feel a bit bad for him, but yeah, that was an incredibly stupid thing to do, especially given the current political situation.1 point

I've read about this too earlier today, and tried to come up with ways to defend it. But you just can't. It was stupid beyond belief. Granted he is a kid, but he really should have used his brain there.1 point

Watching a match live is far better than sitting indoors watching it on tv, just keep your fingers crossed it's a lovely hot summers day match, stretch out on a seat or the grass with a hat on and make sure you have a few packs of lager ready and sup away, once you are nearly legless you won't worry about the rules as you will have double vision and see 4 balls instead of 1. To be serious it's a relaxing game to watch, some people say cricket is too boring but it's not, I don't think I would like standing there as a batsman and seeing a hard round ball hurtling towards me at 90 odd miles an hour.1 point

Go for it! Enjoy it nonetheless. Like any sport it probably takes a few events or matches to get properly into it (if you really want to!). You're welcome - ask away!1 point

Do you know what format of match it is? It'll differ if it's a Test Match, One Day International (ODI) or T20 match. General rules in any format: 11 players per side. Each side plays an innings - in Test matches, each side gets two innings. The side batting first will aim to score as many runs* as possible The side bowling first will aim to get the batting side out by 10 wickets** and restricting them to as few runs as possible The bowling side will bowl 'overs'. An over is where a bowler gets 6 balls to bowl at the batsman. *Scoring/Runs Batsmen can 'run' in between the stumps after hitting the ball. This can be any amount of runs - generally 1, 2 or 3 as the fielding side will often get the ball back to the bowler or wicket-keeper. 'Boundaries'. Two types. A four is where the batsman hits the ball and it gets to the 'boundary' on the perimeter of the pitch after hitting the ground. A six is where the ball is hit and goes over the boundary, without hitting the floor There are also 'extras' such as wides, no balls, leg-byes. **Wickets Various ways to get a batsman out include: Bowled out - the bowler hits the stumps and the bails (on top of the stumps) are removed Leg-before-wicket - LBW - the ball hits the batsman infront of the line of the stumps without hitting the bat. Caught out - the batsman has hit the ball and the fielder catches it without hitting the ground Run out - the fielding side has thrown the ball to the bowler or wicket-keeper and the bails are removed, with ball in hand, before the batsman has made it back to their crease. T20 is where you'll get the most fun and fireworks - there's more likely to be big hitting from the batsman and that's usually what excites the crowds these days. It lasts 20 overs each innings. ODIs are 50 overs each side. Test Matches - hold a bit more tactics and strategy and are much longer, lasting over 5 days. A purer form of cricket! The best, in my opinion!1 point

Considering the likes of Du Plessis, ABDV, De Kock, Amla, Steyn, Tahir, Philander, Morkel from about 5/6 years ago have since retired and carried a hell of a lot of experience and talent, you've come out the other end of a transition period extremely well. There's a very strong squad to be had as above. Nortje, Ngidi, Rabada, Olivier, Jansen, Rickelton, Verreyne, Mulder, all have plenty of years left in them as well.1 point

Sorry, I completely missed your post. Thank you very much, buddy! I look younger too! Thank you!1 point

The list is extensive but because we are lacking any real hard evidence the CPS won't allow us to prosecute...1 point

He's very skilful, energetic and disciplined. He won't stop running and pressing, and it's something we've actually missed a lot in our midfield probably since Kante left (not saying he's the same player, but that energy he exerts is definitely required). We have Maddison as a creative spark, Tielemans as a playmaker as well, Ndidi as a ball-winner. But Dewsbury-Hall is tenacious and rugged but very composed and calm on the ball.1 point

Congrats Harry to you and your missus. Two things spring to mind. Firstly, fair play on deciding two kids are not challenging enough so you needed to raise the bar. Clearly making this parenting malarky look a piece of piss. Secondly, has your missus ever thought about doing an Ironman comp or entering a Royal Rumble? Because after 3 Caesarean's, I'd back her to take on the world, maybe even Tyson Fury. Top effort.1 point

Just a publicity stunt really. There's nothing you need to discuss in person you can't do on the phone. It's a worthwhile one at least for the message it sends out. And who knows, maybe he even did it for that reason as well as his own photo opportunity.1 point

Just got back from a walk through the local park, beautiful day out and nice and sunny, just took my time and then headed off to Tesco''s to pick up some wholmeal bread and some garlic puree. I would love to know how the FUCK did whoever manage to put this graffiti up on the wall? and no, that is not a ledge below it but just a wall going all the way down. I passed the local pub and I was tempted to go in and guzzle a couple of pints but I thought I had better not, will save that until next time when I go out with the wife.1 point

The wife always picks beautiful flowers but seeing she worked in a florist as a manager years ago I can understand why, but I am thinking about buying some artists paints and brushes and paint a picture of these below, that was one of strongest subjects when at school and was given a chance to go to an art college but turned it down as our old man had left home at that time and I had to stay and get a job and look after my mum, wee sister and brother who was handicapped.1 point

Putin has appointed the guy in charge of Syria in Ukraine. The destruction in Syria is astronomical (not just by Russia though) so this isn't good.0 points
