As the few lefties here in India mock such events, it's important to remember that masses need such tiny moments of joy and feeling of solidarity in these grim times. And yes, providing goods to the healthcare workers is way way more important. But to completely dismiss such drills is short-sighted too or see these two completely different things in the same light is wrong. The communities need positivity, and such events provide that. Me and the wife love candles and we have them scattered around the lounge here and every now and then the wife will light them, especially on a cold winters night, turn the main lounge light off so all we have is the tv surround light and the electric coal firelight flickering away with no bars on, beautiful and gives out a relaxing effect. Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted April 5, 2020 Subscriber Posted April 5, 2020 That is concerning. You have to hope that not too many other animals can carry it. I know they released some dogs from quarantine a while back in one country after concluding that they can't be infected. Quote

Apparently coronavirus is relatively common among cats and that it might not be our covid-19. Someone on here might have already said that and be my source ha Quote

Harry Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 What a fucking job Anthony Fauci has... probably best he didn't get held to answer the question here because he just doesn't seem to have it in him to sing from the same songsheet as trump on hydroxychloroquine. Quote

You just know the ones that were out in the parks as well will be the ones moaning when lockdown is extended as well. Twats. 1 Quote

Administrator Stan Posted April 6, 2020 Administrator Posted April 6, 2020 Quote Residents in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, have destroyed a coronavirus testing centre over fears it would pose a contagion risk for the people living nearby. Videos show the building, which was still under conduction, being demolished by people shouting, "We don't want it". An official from the health ministry said the site was never meant for the treatment of patients but only for testing. Judging by official figures, the country has so far not seen a widespread outbreak. Just over 260 infections and three deaths have been confirmed. Abidjan has already been placed under quarantine and a nationwide overnight curfew is in force. Schools, churches and all non-essential shops have been closed. Twats. 1 Quote

Probably from thick fucking cunts that stockpiled and don't listen to guidance. Plenty of them, pretty much all of the most liked tweets replying to the BBC were stuff like 'hope he dies tory scum' or inferences to how they've handled this ergo now deserve to die. I do wonder how many of these accounts then also go on about #BeKind and mental health etc. when those crop up. I'm not a Tory and doubt ever will be but there's an awful underbelly on social media of this kind of them, that seldom seems to be replicated (as much anyway, or as viciously) when someone on the left suffers some misfortune. When you see some of the people saying it, teachers and nurses and stuff, you really fucking wonder. At the end of the day we are all human beings, we all have the same emotions and the same highs and lows in live. Stop acting like cunts and have some grace and actual humanity about you. 4 Quote
