Read news that stated that 50% of serious cases in France, who are admitted to the ICU are under 60.

Here the biggest issue is arseholes, who are running away from quarantine (happened in two different cases, before they caught and returned to quarantine) and secondly people who are refusing to get tested or treated citing religion (happened in two cases).

Also, there has been a case in Japan of a individual getting reinfected. That's scary.

That's around the time BBC tweeted something as well that a new strain of Coronavirus is not infectious enough to pose a global threat.

But then the thing is there are always different strains of Coronavirus floating around. This current one just seems much stronger.

Just a small correction - it's not different strains but rather different viruses belonging to the same family.

There have been a few similar cases in China and South Korea too but it's inconclusive and it's suggested that it's likely a result of errors in testing rather than an actual reinfection. Can't rule it out though... and we don't know much about the length of immunity after recovery anyway so it's indeed a bit scary.

The test in US is 3500 a time ? :o

Thanks to Karen Porter, she pretty much impressively forced the CFC to make testing free from now on, even to those without insurance, because it was declared as a public health emergency...

Quite an emotional moment here right now in Spain.

Everyone just came to their balconies at 10pm with a minute of clapping to pay tribute to the health system and all the people working to help fight this disease. Quite a striking moment.

Here in the UK that'd be met with a complaint to the local council for noise nuisance xD xD

Don't know if it's because it's a weekend but the streets in Lima seem awfully quiet. Not many cars and it's around 5 which is usually the busiest time of the day.

No new cases today either.

This is quite an interesting look. Countries With Fastest Growth Of COVID-19 Cases - seems that Spain is overtaking Italy at this stage. (Testing differences not accounted for.)

Spanish government has a lot to answer for  after allowing the March 8th demonstrations to go ahead last weekend, despite the warnings from EU authorities.
