I would also rather you done that

I think we should cheat like Leicester did.. having a team you know is good enough to stay in the top flight but not good enough to win another PL title so drop down a league so you can win a title on the cheap knowing you are far better than those around you but keeping that trophy cabinet full of cheap trinkets..

Just seen the Emma Hayes nonsense, how you can push a manager and then call him aggressive is beyond me lol. Also quite rude to associate Eidevall’s actions as “male aggression” when there was next to no aggression whatsoever, unfairly tarnishes him as some degree of a woman beater all because she is a sore loser and Eidevall was in the right to complain about Chelsea trying to cheat and use the multi-ball system.

I watched the match yesterday but switched off before any of that happened but from a game point of view Chelsea have nothing to complain about.. They look tired and lacked any urgency and energy also the changes came too late in the game and couldn't do enough to influence the outcome.. I also thought James could have won the game if she had just passed the ball across the box after drawing the keeper and the defender in but instead wanted to go for glory and threw away the chance to win the game for Chelsea.. Arsenal were the brighter and more threatening across the 90 minutes..

As for the incident itself I can only assume there was a lot of frustration in losing the game especially after all the talk of a possible quad to end her Chelsea career on.. not going to happen now and I have a funny feeling that no matter how good the Ladies are, and they are very good, that they could end up with no more silverware to show for her final season.. hope that's not the case but just got a funny feeling that it's not going to happen for them this season...

Sometimes it's seemed like he's the only sane and reliable Chelsea defender out there, but I expect some of the other players to now step up for Chelsea with him going

The last of that golden era of CBs.

Such a class player, and glad his Chelsea career is an end of a chapter rather the end of the book. Would love to see him back in some capacity as he's hinted. In hindsight, replacing him with Carvalho in 2010 would've been an incredible move.

@Devil What are your thoughts on Cole Palmer’s season? I remember you stating that you were familiar with his family, or at least know someone that does. There must be a bit of positivity that a local kid made a big impression.

His dad is best friends with one of my friends who I work with. Obviously I'm always happy when a local kid does well, it was similar with Rashford in fairness, he went to the same primary school I went to and grew up in the same area so it was nice seeing him do well as well. In terms of performance, I don't think anyone expected him to do so well, that said he'd already made it financially because I've obviously heard about the impact it had on his parents lives.

It's literally like winning the lottery isn't it. They went from the local estate to a mansion in Wilmslow in the space of a few years.

I'm just glad he's not doing it for City now. His family are massive United fans as well.

Seems like they are a pretty close family, they are always pictured with him at signings and all that.

We’ll just have to see if he keeps doing it with a new head coach every season. 25 goals is mad.

Really hope its just to show we aren't desperate, much like last summer when Sky reported Poch wanted Kepa as his #1.

Petrovic at best is a #2 and Sanchez's signing should bring a sacking to the mastermind behind it.

I read a report that chelsea are potentially facing a 12 point deduction pertaining to PSR.   The Athletic did a podcast that they believed chelsea would fall short of PSR requirements however the sale of property to a holding company that is owned by the clear lake group may be deemed fudging and that Chelsea could be nearly 100m over PSR.

Saw something on Twitter that they did some sleight of hand with their women's team to get around PSR as well. Think it was by that lickspittle City fan who goes on Talksport and is adamant that his team has no case to answer so not sure how reliable.

Stefan Borson. Yeah his credibility isn't great.

Our pre-season is going well... drew 2-2 with Wrexham and just got tonked 4-1 by Celtic and we haven't even played anyone decent yet, Still got Man City and Real Madrid to come..

I have a horrible feeling that this season could be our worst yet...

Not going to jump into hasty conclusions right now but I will say I am not a fan of James in midfield.

As I predicted, James inverted wing back from the right, Colwill inverted full back from the left to make a three. This is essentially what he did with us with Ricardo and Doyle respectively. Similar profile of player.

The big conundrum for me was how effective truly are his tactics. I don't think it was ever put to any serious test. He had a team much too good for the division. He got over the line but not convincingly in the end after a rapid start. I think you can get away with things like Ricardo in midfield when you're generally better all over the pitch than the opposition. You won't have quite the level of luxury.

Red flags appearing already for me. Trust the process as a phrase rings alarm bells for me. To hear it in July... yikes.

Like I said, I have a horrible feeling this season is going to be another damp squid..

I just don't trust the hierarchy to make good decisions for the long term betterment of the club, despite constantly hearing it's a long term project nobody is staying long enough to fulfil any of it, They have now rushed out and appointed Maresca off the back of one season with a club that was clearly well equipped to stroll that division as if he is going to be the next Guardiola, In looks perhaps but got a feeling that's about it..

After a rocky start Poch was finally getting the team to gel and we were seeing much better results and then he's gone before being able to build on that work for this season and I can see our season going much the same way again, Hit and miss results for the most part and maybe, just maybe something that resembles a team toward the end of the campaign again.. 1 step forward and 2 steps back.. It's becoming tiring

It needs to be the LB that inverts. Cucurella is good in possession + doesn't offer much in attack, and the new lad Renato Viega is a LCB/LB/LCM hybrid.

Reece James and Malo Gusto are too influential as fullback on both ends of the pitch. Limiting them to being defensive mids makes them redundant.

Sanchez

James Fofana Colwill Cucurella

Enzo

Caicedo Nkunku

Palmer    Jackson     Sterling
