He did have Kimmich and Goretzka doing the dirty work for him.

Don't think he has that luxury with Liverpool's midfield.

Most Liverpool midfielders love a tackle.

But today with just Wijnaldum and Jones alongside him they were a bit lightweight in midfield.

Allison is an abomination. Premier league hasn’t had an elite keeper since prime Cech and prime van der sar.

De Gea was definitely there about 4 years ago, but now he’s aids like everyone else.

If Alisson has shouted for it, which I'd expect he would have, I don't think you can blame the keeper there

Yeah, agree. If hasn't called for it, it's obviously on him, but if he has it's on Kabak

Alisson made a mental error very early on in his Liverpool career (against Leicester again if I recall correctly) but learned from it and barely made another until last week. Hopefully it's the same for Kabak. Must be a bit of adjustment playing with a keeper as aggressive as Alisson, but we can't be having stuff like that

If I heard correctly, Klopp said he didn't hear Alisson shout for it.

I think it was very fortunate it fell to Vardy.as it did. Could have landed anywhere.

Well it wasn't Klopp who tried to tackle the goalkeeper so I'm not sure why that's relevant

It's Allison's fault all day, Kabak is clearly eyeing the ball up the moment that Maddison hit it, the ball is landing in the area Kabak is covering. Allison's responsibility to not try and take a clearance that his centre half has covered, Allison just being too jittery imo.

Thing is whilst Liverpool's injuries are a blatant problem, you can't watch that and pin the blame on just injuries. That was a headloss. You conceded a goal and just seemed to totally lose your heads from it - after outplaying us for virtually the whole game.

Ndidi absolutely immense, genuinely think he's one of the best in the world in his position. Ruthless from us at the end. I admit we were fortunate but we did what we had to really, and for all I don't think a lot of our play was great, we didn't allow them many big chances, really.

I don't think he was jittery. He cleaned out the player and got contact on the ball. That contact would have been better if he shouts for it and lets Kabak know he's coming for it.

I do agree it's probably in Kabak's area to deal with anyway and Alisson should recognise that.

Mentally jittery, was in too much of a rush to get to the ball and didn't think the clearance through

It's on Alisson for me. It's the goalkeeper's job to shout in general but especially when he was the one in that scenario who could see the other players involved as well as the ball.

Feel sorry for Kabak to be honest. Vardy gave him a difficult time on a couple of occasions, difficult debut for him, I don't really think he did badly, but in the situation with the second goal, he's running back towards his own box, got the ball above him, a Leicester player breathing down his neck and his goalkeeper dicking it out to get involved as well. He can't have his eyes on everything. Alisson had the best view of what was developing and if the goalkeeper's going to come that far it's on him to make sure he gets it, unless indeed he gave a massive roar and Kabak just ignored him.

Problem for Kabak is that he's young and has gone to a team that just seem to be conceding a goal or two away from suffering something calamitous.

Question for Liverpool fans, do you feel Klopp will stay and rebuild Liverpool or will he resign or leave at the end of his contract? Only asking considering his rebuild spell at Dortmund.

The ball's going past Kabak as he's sprinting backwards to catch it with Vardy running onto it. His clearance, if he gets there, is going out for a throw or corner at best, but in reality could be going anywhere. Alisson's running forwards with the ball coming towards him, and can see the whole pitch. Absolutely not a problem with him coming for it. It's the right thing to do

It's in Kabak's area (sort of), but that's why Alisson should call for it, not leave it and hope for the best

He said ages ago that he will leave when his current contract ends. He wants to retire in Mainz.

I expect he'll leave at the end of his contract, but that's in 2024. Not something to worry about at this point

Fuck everything about this season.

Also everyone who told me Thiago is world class should go grab a handful of shit and chew on it. He’s rubbish tbh

They're the sort of balls that Alisson comes out for all the time. It's a lack of communication or Kabak not used to what to expect from the keeper behind him. There's no way you can pin this fully on one or the other unless we know whether the keeper has called for it. We're not having this conversation if it's Matip or Fabinho in that situation. And that's not me trying to blame Kabak, it's just going to take him time

So you have gone from not blaming him the other day, to him being rubbish after coming on as a substitute today?

Jesus xD

Not a Klopp player. Likes to wank the ball around with his creative sidways passing, not like the rest of the players running like madmen, kicking the ball straight to goal. Just because he sucks for your lot doesn't mean he was never great at Bayern.

I do think it means he’s not world class though

world class doesn't even mean anything, it's a nebulous term that is relative to whoever is saying
