Yea.. enough is enough now, Whatever the problem is he needs to man up and get over it...

I need to know if I should be making adjustments to my 5 year old T-Shirts to make them look like something I purchased this year if I hope to be accepted in modern society and not become a fashion outcast...

Last I heard he got a job as Hector Bellerin's personal shopper.

And when I say personal, I mean really personal...

You missing him?

He would have at least 14 essays in reply to that.

Well done buddy, I am a great, great, uncle many times over and the wife a great, great, auntie the same, boys and girls, you should say " I don't care if it's a boy or girl as long as they are both well" but I am sure you must have thought that. :ay:

Congratulations. I became an uncle, also to a baby girl, in April and I love her to bits. Spoil her!

That's why he's fucked off from the forum, he's publishing a book.

Then I guess we won't be seeing him here for the next 10 years.

Might come back just in time though to experience the completion of @Storts Forum Hierarchy.

I've just noticed that I have been paid like 265 quid too much on my wages. Rather than getting 15 quid an hour, they've fucked up and given me more like 20 quid an hour. Do I say anything? Or should I just keep it quiet and hope they keep paying me that and don't notice?

Are you in a contract with your real rate listed? If so, I'd say something because if they find out, they could very likely come after you for the overages.

I'm a sub-contractor, so it's technically classed as self-employed, but without having to pay your own tax as 20% is automatically deducted.

To be honest, I'll say something as it's not like the money they are paying me is shit anyway. They are also a decent company to work for as they put you through all types of courses, which you don't usually get for free when you're a sub-contractor.

It could even be a case of me getting a tax rebate as part of my wage, as I've had them before.

Good move - I would be upfront and let them know. I worked with a guy who did about 10 hours of overtime, but got paid for 100 hours. So he took that giant check and spent every penny and a week later was forced to return it. xD

To be honest they pay well and I'm happy with the wage they are paying me as you don't get that everywhere for doing the same job. For some other companies, I'd have probably not said a word due to how tight they are but these seem fair. It's only 1 mile from home too, which is ideal.

Not to mention, the lady who sorts out the wages is the one who will potentially get in trouble(if she has infact made a mistake and it's not a tax rebate) and I wouldn't want that to be honest as she is down to earth. I will phone up and ask for her personally.

Mention it, buddy, their auditors or whatever will notice it sooner than later, when I was working once they paid my wages twice in 2 weeks, I did not say anything and kept one month's wage in the bank and did not touch it, sure enough, the next monthly payday they noticed it and asked for it back which I obliged and did.

It could be a tax rebate as I get them unexpectedly, both as part of wages and at the end of tax years. I'm hoping anyway.

It's hard to tell when you're a sub-contractor as it doesn't tell you much on your payslip(or "remittance advice"), unlike when on PAYE where it tells you details and you know where extra money comes from, or has been deducted from.

On this it doesn't even tell you your hourly rate or how many hours you did. They just pay you and then 20% is deducted for tax. Since I've been on PAYE for the whole of the tax year until last monday, where I started on a new job as a sub-contractor, it could be the (small) tax rebate I'd still be owed from that since I get them every year, along with a few surprise ones as part of my wage from time to time. It definitely makes sense, or atleast I hope as there is nothing worse than having to give money back xD. Every quid counts in this world.

Rather than pay them back if it comes down to it, I'd rather they just took 20 of my 46 hours(or whatever it works out at) next week, as that would make more sense due to tax.

Why would you say anything at all?, just keep your mouth shut and hope it becomes a regular thing. ;)

@The Rebel CRS

You heard the story where a boy's axe fell in the river and a fairy comes up offering a golden axe but the boy says its not my axe and it ends with honesty is the best policy.

To be honest, I wouldn't even have thought about it twice had I been working directly for a big housing company, or even an agency, as they are all cunts anyway. But with working for a sub-contractor firm, they are more family orientated. Obviously not skint, but not one of these big blood sucking companies where they have CEOs who receive bonuses of 75 million even though they build rough as fuck houses.

I'm actually thinking it's a tax rebate either way, so it should be sound. I will phone HMRC first.

It turns out it was a tax rebate in the end due to me going from PAYE(which I'd been on the whole tax year thus far) to using a UTR number.

That'll do me. 3rd-5th April, Amsterdam booked again. It's becoming contagious now @Panna King, @Stan
