Happy Birthday Men!!!

There is a big fat fly buzzing around in my room annoying the shit out of me, when I catch it I am going to bash it's brains in... I managed to punch it as it flew close to me and knocked it against the wall but it got up and flew off... xD fuck, I must be getting old if I can't even knock a fly out..

Mine was a Black fly so you have the wrong victim already... I can see from the evidence you are going to put forward that I am going to breeze this and the case is going to get laughed out of court and may well end up with you getting a fine for wasting the courts time... B|

I see Freddie Starr has passed away aged 76

Used to be a funny bloke back in the day but his style of comedy didn't fit in well as time went on..

Bet there are hamsters up and down the country breathing a huge sigh of relief..

RIP

My mum & dad have a flat in Spain and he rented it out for a short while from them about 2-3 years back. He was in quite a bad way then and had to leave for medical reasons. Think he had been in quite a bad way for a while though?

They showed a photo of him on the ITV News and it looked nothing like the old Freddie Starr, very fat and his face bloated, grey hair, it's a shame really because I did enjoy his shows years ago especially when he appeared on the Des O'Connor show he would have me and the wife in stitches laughing our socks off, I think all these sex allegations he had against him took its toll.

Anyone else ever feel overwhelmed by people in general?

Im going through that phase at the moment where I really want peace. I'm tired of socializing, I'm tired of being ignored, I'm sick of trying to the point where I don't even want to talk to my own family. I want to just isolate myself. Luckily this hasn't stopped my creative ambitions, but I'm just tired of the people I know. I wouldn't call this "depression". Rather I feel socially awkward.

It's funny. In elementary school I just wanted to have friends as I didn't have many. Now I don't want friends because it's beginning to overwhelm me. I feel they are a poison to me. I hate my condition sometimes.

I think everyone goes through moments where they need to find themselves mate. There are times where my own company is extremely important...

Let me rephrase that.

Before I got married and had kids, I used to go through moments like that and I would just act upon it and find moments for myself whether it was reading or whatever. A completely normal necessity in my opinion, so I wouldn't dwell on it too long as overthinking and analysing can surely be worse for your condition whatever that may be?

It's okay to feel alone and want to just feel comfortable in your own company but probably also good to have a bit of a balance?

How often would you be socialising or meeting all these different friends?

I think family is the most important thing so I wouldn't jeopardise that if you can avoid doing so.

Life can be a bastard but the best thing is to look back and then look at the situation today of life in general, I am coming on 70 years old now and sometimes when the wife is in bed and its all quiet in here I will switch the tv off and just sit here for about 20 minutes and think back.

There was 9 of us in our family, 7 sisters and me and my brother and growing up in the '50s was hard as rationing from WWII was still around and my youngest brother was born with disabilities, one leg and most of his toes and fingers missing but we struggled along as a family and years later I think of today where I am now married (45 years up come Dec) my wife gave me 2 lovely children a boy and girl who gave me and the wife 3 lovely grandsons.

So I will sit back when it's all quiet and think how lucky I am to still be alive, thinking about Dec 2017 where the wife had to call an ambulance and I was rushed into hospital with a collapsed lung, 2 weeks in hospital and an operation to boot but I am still here kicking along so I think to myself I am one of the lucky ones when I listen or read the early morning news of all the tragedies at home and around the world of death and destruction and I am still breathing, as I said, life can be a bastard but I am one of the lucky ones who is still alive and kicking.

Thanks for all the support. To answer your question @Stan I am decent enough in socializing with friends alone, but I struggle mostly when I'm in a group. I was in a group the last 2 days and I felt useless. 1 day is enough for me to think these things but 2 days in a row with the same feeling is too much. The alone time really helps.

A day full of distractions ahead.

Leeds and the Coppa Italia final are at the same time today so I'll be trying to watch both while at work.

Tonight is Monterrey vs Tigres and of course, Atlanta United.

Say what you like about his politics but Hawke could neck a fucking yardie like a fucking legend. @Harry @Toinho @Devil-Dick Willie

Old Bob Hawke loved his beer, I remember him when I was out there in his Trade Union days, top bloke then and soon became Priminister.
