Hahahaha but you watched us earlier didn't you xD :P

Trust me, you're nowhere near the worst.

That spell of pressure Villa just had, several teams would have conceded. Van Dijk and Matip remained calm just heading everything away.

I think if you look at our possession stats this season and then goals against… I think there’s a good case to make that we’re one of the worst defenses around if not the worst.

Nunez has been lively and he does a lot for his teammates. I just want to see the lad convert a better percentage of his chances, for his own confidence.

I agree he's been lively as well.

But they've just given him man of the match, which is odd for a striker considering the amount of chances he's missed. Had he scored, it changes the perception.

I think any of the back 4 for Liverpool are hard done by by the commentators.

Honestly, it's almost unprofessional isn't it? If we're edged out by a superior side that I can deal with, like that Man City game in October, but how many times is that this season where we've been a complete disgrace now? Probably not far off half the games.

I'm glad there's enough other rubbish in the league that we'll get away with it, although I'm only saying that as a fan, I'm worried the players think this way. They didn't look up for it one bit. There's no excuse for that absolute crap. Newcastle won't have an easier game all season.

We have easy games like that all the time mate. This is at least the 4th or 5th of the season. We eat the half hearted for breakfast, that's our thing.

Seemed like Villa had more starters missing than Liverpool.

Sounded like it was a 2 sided match, but Liverpool, like they'll do to many, were just much more clinical with their chances.

Reading worrying stories Unai thinks Villa should cash-in on Emi Martinez.

Spurs away next, before 4 games against lower sides, 3 at Villa Park, with any Unai signings. Would be nice to well clear of lower end by early Feb.

4th or 5th of the season for us where I'd say that's the easiest three points an opposition will have this year. The other NUFC fan on here said it was similar to the game against 10 man Fulham. That's some seriously problematic shit for us.

Unforgivable lack of fight. There's a huge culture of can't be arsedness about us at the minute. We need some changes.

Not saying there aren't problems for you, but we do beat absolutely everyone

Just checked my fantasy football, had Trippier, Almiron and Robertson on my bench.

All assisted or scored, just my luck.

Mitrovic in mine. He was 'doubtful' so thought he wouldn't play.

Hopeless football club. Every combination of manager and players ends up the same way. Just always finding ways to lose football matches.

Lampard is going to have to go first at this rate because this squad isn't great but there's enough there not to get relegated. It makes no difference though. Best case scenario the new manager bounce keeps our heads above water for another year then we're back here by the middle of next season.

Barely arsed anymore. We'll drop eventually even if we survive this time.

I still think on paper you’re too good to go down (although that doesn’t always matter)… and I’m not convinced Fat Frank’s the right man for Everton (I wasn’t when he joined and I’m still not - I think it’s a big job even for a very experienced manager).

But do you think Frank getting the axe is inevitable? Or will they give him a chance to turn things around unless it looks too desperate?

I think Everton are caught between a rock and a hard place tbh. In order to look more appealing to more appealing managers, I think your lot need to not look like they’ll just cut and run on a manager at a whim tbh. Otherwise you’ll be getting people who aren’t yet ready for the job and willing to take a chance on a club that chews up and spits out managers. On the other hand, sticking with Frank might be just a one way road to nowhere.

Every bluenose I know like you has either become disinterested as fuck in the club or letting the club bring them to weird depression. I suppose it’s what years of shit ownership that throws money at problems before having a sound plan does… but it’s not good.

Like don’t get me wrong, I’m a Liverpool fan, I think it’s funny to an extent. But it’s not good for football for Everton to keep struggling for decades, they’re one of the countries biggest clubs. It’s not good for the city either imo. Liverpool as a city has come a long way since when I was a kid & honestly I think the new Everton stadium thing, while it’s a bit sad in a historical context to lose Woodison, is genuinely brilliant for the city. It revitalises a part of the city that needs revitalization.

Moshiri was meant to bring a positive change to Everton on a football sense & I think overall it’s better for football… and Merseyside generally… if Liverpool & Everton are both good sides. I think it’s certainly been good for Manchester having City be good and invest a lot in the city.

Rivalry aside and just from a context of me caring about family, friends, & the place I’m from… it’s just sad to see so many Evertonians see not just the soul - but the life - being sucked from the club.
