Quiz League Round 12 - Dutch Courage

Inspired by all the headlines caused by Virgil Van Dijk, this quiz will test you on your knowledge of some of the finest exports from the Netherlands in the last 20 years or so. This one should be quite fairly balanced between English knowledge, German knowledge and general knowledge, so it could be a close round. Good luck, have fun!

knew about 5 or 6. Typical educated guesses/sketchy memory for the rest.

C – Nice. Sneijder makes his first foray into Ligue 1 alongside Balotelli and co. at Nice, signing for the French side on a free transfer on Monday. 81% answered correctly.

 

5) Rafael van der Vaart is another Ajax graduate who later moved to Real Madrid. He now plies his trade in the Danish Superliga, with which club?

D – FC Midtjylland. Van der Vaart helped his side to third place in the Superliga last season, and they face Apollon Limassol in the final stage of Europa League qualifying next week. 56% answered correctly.

B – Internazionale. Kluivert represented Ajax, AC Milan, Barcelona, Newcastle United, Valencia, PSV Eindhoven and Lille throughout his career, scoring 149 league goals in 343 appearances across the Dutch Eredivisie, Serie A, La Liga, the Premier League and Ligue 1. 63% answered correctly.
