Anything less than a win in this one and I'm afraid Dyche is straying into 'should be sacked' territory. We're no great shakes but we've got the players to do better than no wins from five home games against Fulham, Wolves, Luton, Arsenal and Bournemouth to start the season.

You can't stay up by turning up and causing an upset on the road once every couple of months, even with the dross that's in the league this season. The Cup win at Villa is also irrelevant if you can't even get close to keeping up a point per game in the league to give yourself a fighting chance at survival.

Who is actually in charge of sacking the manager if necessary or finding a new one is a total mystery though so hopefully he turns it around and it doesn't come to that.

A difficult match today with a United side desperate for three points. We are without Flekken, Henry, Mee, Dasilva, Damsgaard, Schade and Lewis-Potter whilst our bench has 5 players who were playing in the B Team last season (3 this season).

Not sure what to expect from Strakosha, he was a first choice keeper at Lazio under Sarri and since joining us he's remained firm back up and not impressed too much. A goalkeeper change is never a great thing either so it may create a goal or two for United.

No Henry or Mee in the defence is huge, Henry's pace defines how high we can press and also gives us an outlet from deep positions in possession. Mee is just solid and a leader. Expect to see some counter-attacking runs from Kristoffer Ajer alongside Aaron Hickey whilst also expecting Nathan Collins to step-up at times into midfield to try and retain possession and break lines.

Otherwise it's business as usual for the midfield and attack, but if we need a sub then the danger only really comes from Onyeka and if we get a tune out of him, Maupay.

Wissa - Mbeumo

Janelt - Norgaard - Jensen

Hickey - Ajer - Pinnock - Collins - Roerslev

Strakosha

A lot of football hipsters (the types that post "scout reports" on Twitter of players' stats who they've never actually watched) were bumming Bournemouth's appointment of this guy from La Liga. Their start to the season has been horrific. You can never guarantee success with one league and club will translate to another.

It's confirming Burnley, who were very, very impressive in the Championship last season, are miles off it so far in the Premier League.

It does make it seem intriguing to see how Chelsea go over the next few months, against Arsenal, Brentford, Spurs, Man City, Newcastle, etc.

With Chelsea it could just need 1 big resounding win, to get everyone's confidence up.

3-0. Sound. If only we'd done the business last week that'd be a fourth win on the trot and a genuine feeling of lift off.

I think you'll be fine. Normally I would want Bournemouth to stay up but didn't like the way they sacked their manager

Read that Basham had a horrible leg break in the Sheffield United game. :(

I just looked into it & it's one of those where the ankles gone, with the foot hanging loose in an odd direction. Apparently not from a challenge, just his standing leg gave way as he looked to cross the ball. At 35, it might be a career ending 1.
