If you haven't then I urge you to watch Memories of Murders, as well. @Big Lebowski. It is a genius of a movie. @topic. Watched Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Absolute bore of a movie with few interesting gimmicks. Already saw it. 'Little Shop of Horrors' 5/10 'Doctor Strange' 6.5/10 'Team America: World Police' 7/10 'Everybody Wants Some!!' 8/10 Quote
nfb_10 Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 Went to see the Wonder Woman movie in Imax this weekend....it was really, really good. Gal Gadot was amazing in the Wonder Woman role. It's definitely the best DC movie since The Dark Knight. Quote
Toinho Posted June 10, 2017 Posted June 10, 2017 War Dogs 7/10 Didn't think it would keep me entertained, but it wasn't too bad. Not sure on Jonah Hill though. Jury is still out for me, in regards to non superbad character roles. Quote
Cicero Posted June 10, 2017 Posted June 10, 2017 UP 9.5/10 Don't know what took me so long to watch this. Brilliant from Pixar. Utterly brilliant. Easily my favorite film from them followed by Inside Out Quote
True Blue Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Fist fight 8/10 Enjoyed it far more than i should have Quote
IgnisExcubitor Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Watched 'Get Carter' -- cheesy dialogues, awkward acting aside, it was a fun movie to watch. Michael Caine's angry persona felt forced at times, but he still managed to look cool at the end of it. Quote
Lucas Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Wellllll....The Mummy was a big steaming pile of turd. What on earth were they thinking making that? Tom Cruise is really churning out some gash films on a regular basis now, it's killing his career. Quote

Moderator Tommy Posted June 14, 2017 Moderator Posted June 14, 2017 I thought the first Jack Reacher was good. Edge of Tomorrow was amazing and Oblivion was pretty cool too! Quote
IgnisExcubitor Posted June 14, 2017 Posted June 14, 2017 I didn't like Oblivion, but Reacher was good (largely because of Pike), EoT was amazing and Mission Impossible movies have been good fun. Mummy seems to have been a train-wreck, but his movies have been good. Plus his upcoming movies - American Made and Luna Park sound really good. Quote
Moderator Tommy Posted June 15, 2017 Moderator Posted June 15, 2017 When I read Luna Park I was hoping it's about Bret Easton Ellis' novel. Slightly disappointed, but it still sounds good. Quote
Devil-Dick Willie Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 I was hoping it would be a dramatization of my childhood visit where I vomited a lot on the rides. 1 Quote
Lucas Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 Life Seen a lot of mixed reviews on this one but I have to say I thought it was a decent Sci-Fi thriller. I thought it was one of those films that has you hooked and whizz's by before you know it. I really enjoyed the palpable sense of tension the film created throughout. And it's unpredictable twists from start to finish. I certainly didn't see a couple things coming, which were brave moves by the directors. I don't want to elaborate anymore for fear of giving away spoilers but if you like a bit of tension with your sci-fi, it's worth checking out. Quote
Devil-Dick Willie Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 Under the skin 4/10 Yuck. This film feels like some pretentious film student wanker got his hands on some decent equipment and Scarlett Jojo, and wanted to show the world that he is gods gift to film. Quote
True Blue Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 Logan 7.5/10 It was good, but not as good everyone was hyping it. Quote
IgnisExcubitor Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Saw the 'The Final Girls'. A decent horror comedy take on slasher movies. Quote
Azeem Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 Ethel and Ernest- Animated film based on a graphic novel by an English author/illustrator about his parents from how they met, the days during the war till their deaths. Simply a great watch. Remember The Titans- Watched this movie after 10 years i think still throughly enjoyed it Quote
IgnisExcubitor Posted June 22, 2017 Posted June 22, 2017 Watched 'Demolition Man'. Utter waste of time. Quote

Agreed, thought it was excellent and had a different feel from your usual alien films. Quote
Cicero Posted June 23, 2017 Posted June 23, 2017 127 Hours 9/10 Fantastic film and terrific acting. Franco was robbed of the oscar. Like Jim Carrey, I hope James Franco doesn't continue doing comedy films alone, as he has so much more potential than that. Quote
