Which is sad, seeing as Leverkusen beat Gladbach 3-1 away from home a few weeks ago. I now need Leverkusen to beat Mainz at home on the final matchday and hope that Gladbach either draw or lose to Hertha Berlin.

Meaning that Leverkusen would have to beat Mainz and hope that Hertha best Gladbach(a Gladbach draw is unlikely to be enough for Leverkusen), because it is highly unlikely that Leverkusen are going to beat Mainz by a nine goal goal difference.
